I finally did it! My first coil!

I finally took the plunge and bought an rba. I picked up an AGA T2. After two "practice" tries, I present my first coil! I used 400 SS mesh, and 4/5 wrap with 30 gauge Kanthal and am clocking in about 1.3 ohms.

I am officially a happy camper.

Don't think you're allowed to get it right on your third try. Sounds like you didn't even had to curse once. Something must be wrong here...

It's such a drastically different experience from a carto or BCC. I'm still acclimating myself, but after just a couple of days I'm comi g to really love it.

Thanks so much! But to be fair, in the past five months I've probably watched the time equivelant of a week in rba tutorial videos

Also, there were definitely curses...but they were curses of joy!

Looks good.
My first try worked OK but my second is working soooo goood I hate to think about the day I have to re-wick it.

I used a 6-32 screw to make my coil then rolled a wick to fit nice and snug in the coil. The little bit of gap between the wick and wick hole is enough that I can chain vape with the fill hole plug in place and I don't have to tilt either.
