Hey all,
N00b Here...

So excited. My first e-cig is coming in the mail tonight.

So throughout this whole experience, I wanted to quit smoking (mostly I wanted to rid my body of bad chemicals within cigarette smoke) so I thought about e-cigs. My roommate told me about a friend she knows that sells them and I went to visit her. I tried it and wow. WOWWWWWWW!!!!!!! so I ordered one.

She told me there was this whole community of vapers and I had to check it out. I like being a part of unknown communities. I learned so much in the last few days. I watched a lot of videos (Thank you GrimmGreen!) and I'm already wanting my first mod.

So here I am. I'm trying to get the lingo down. There's not a whole lot of information online, hopefully the forums can help me out.

Anyway, so hi everyone! I'm new and I'm excited!!!!!!!

Welcome Oaken! I think you will LOVE your eGo, it's a great choice. Congrats on your up coming quit, if I can offer you advice.....Relax and enjoy the ride, drink lots of water, be patient with yourself and don't look at this as a "quit" at first. Think of it as changing brands. We tend to work ourselves up and cause unnecessary anxiety when we say were quitting.
Good luck and happy vaping!

So how long would you guys say it took for you to go to a mod from your base e-cig? I'm getting the eGo, and I'm concerned about battery life and such, but I also have much more learning to do, like what's the difference between a 510 atomizer and another type of atomizer? These are questions swirling in my mind but I am a research fanatic and I will find the answers!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.

It depends on what size ego battery you bought. They will last anywhere from 4hrs - 8hrs of heavy vaping (650mah - lowest to 1100 highest I believe). 510 is just the threading type on the atomizer and battery connection. The ego will use any 510 or eGo - that gives you a lot of options.

Basically I'd suggest using the ego until you find out what accessories and juices you like while researching if you want VV mod, bottom feeder or other :)

You should give the ego clearomizers a try, direct dripping and tank systems as well.

And then there is working out what nic % you need and what vendors/ flavours are your faves.

With your current set up there is very little reason to rush to a mod. Many people who have mods still use their egos daily actually.
