WOW!!!! Um.....yep...definitely afraid now!!! LOL But.....I love my ProVari too much to not do it!

I know it was the exact same flavor, exact same ProTank IIs, my hubby says it was the exact same voltage - but I can't swear to that because I'm not positive if it was or not. I could do exact same tank and voltage now....but not same flavor if you need me to.
I have an MVP2 now. I have been riding the fence. I am not doubting what you say, but "theoretically" the MVP 2 and Provari with the same tank and same voltage settings should taste identically.
They are putting the exact same wattage to the coil. Some people claim the Provari has a smoother taste than other APV's because the cheaper APV's have PWM on the output. The ProVari does not. The MVP2 however doesn't either.
On paper, and on the scope, the MVP and Provari should be identical, performance wise. The Provari blows it out of the water in build quality and longevity, but performance wise they should not be discernible.
What would be a really interesting test is if you closed your eyes and had your husband put one in your mouth and take a hit on one, then swap out the tank and take a hit on the other.
Then see if you can identify the ProVari.
I'm not trying to bait you at all. I'm really curious. If you can consistently identify the Provari with your eyes closed, I'll order one tonight.
Sounds like a Blind Triangle. We use it in beer tastings, especially when someone is trying to clone a recipe. The idea is to have someone else pour you three samples in identical glasses. 2 are the same one & the 3rd is the other. If you can't identify which of the 3 is the odd man out, it's considered cloned. Since the PV itself is what you're testing & would be the 'glass' in this case, it would be an interesting test. Take 3 vapes off from 2 devices administered by someone else & see if you can figure out which is the odd man out. Very interesting proposal. 3 of the same drip tip would help make it even more anonymous.
That's exactly what I'm looking for.
Set the Provari and MVP2 to the exact same voltage. Have a tank filled with a certain juice. Close your eyes or use a blindfold, have the administrator put the tank on one of the PV's. Vape. Have the administrator put the tank on the second PV, vape again. Then either put the tank on the original PV or the same PV and vape a third time.
The administrator will switch tanks and activate the button. The only thing the one tasting does is put their mouth on the tank and inhale.
This way, the tester has no idea whether they are vaping off the ProVari or MVP 2 except by taste/vape alone. I would be extremely interested in the results.
My only alteration would be to put a fresh, clean, but otherwise identical tip on all 3 times. As with any real experimentation make everything absolutely identical as possible, only changing 1 factor, the thing you're trying to test. After that, it's only a worthwhile result if it can be repeated.
I forget about the drip tip. I use mini protank 2's with the static tip on all my devices, so I can't change tips on my tanks.
NO NO NO - I just got my MVP TODAY................u ruined it for me.................I hate u..............lol
I just think about the fact that if your lips are on it, it'll warm up which could be detected by the subject. If the tip warms up & collects residue, then you're also affecting the perception of the flavor. You can't use different tanks since they won't have the exact same physics. Ergo, getting 3 identical, clean tips & switching between each test. It's still not perfect, but it's about as close as you'll come.
There are others that have had an MVP, acquired a Provari and said they noticed a difference in the vape. I applaud Egreen for the interesting test. That said, you'll never convince a skeptic until they try one. That's why there are so many "Now I get it!" comments when someone gets their first one, followed by planning to get the second.
Oz, don't make this more difficult than it needs to be! This test exceeded the FDA standards already!![]()
