well thats not entirely true and Ive seen you personally and I know I have in the heat of a discussion pass a little judgment ;-)but at the end of the day its mostly just Ideals and opinions clashing we are all exsmokers so non of us are better than the next. I get a bit of slack from my Mom who says she would rather see me smoke as it looks silly. I have 3 other friends say ylou don't need to smoke anything..really? Easier said then done.. None of them hound me I just blow off what any of them say. i am pretty good at blowing off people and just say "yeah whatever" and keep doing what I am doing.
They should all be happy that we aren't there smoking other things..but there are always going to people who can be insensitive.

Thank you everyone really, I mean it. I've had a rough year so far. Tongue cancer, quitting smoking, turning 50- and just in the last couple weeks my SO of 2 years bailed on me and I found out I have to have a total hip replacement (and I live alone and don't have disability insurance :/)

So to find acceptance and support right now is like water in the dessert, I have to say.

I'm sorry you're going thru such a bad patch. But, really, this puts a whole new light on things for me. This "friend" is seriously anything but. She has to know all this too. In my book, she's mental as in sadistic streak. Eeeeew! How freakin thoughtless and/or cruel. Kick her to the curb as soon as you can. With "friends" like that, who needs enemies? I am happy for you to have taken to vaping especially in your situation. Come here often.

Eranda, you made the right decision by quitting analogs, and you should not have to second-guess yourself for anyone. Your friend, or whatever she is, may not be half as satisfied with her life as she lets on if she has to justify herself by trying to run everyone else's life. To thine own self be true. I can just about promise you that if it's true, she knows. I have known several people like this in my life and while I find judgmental people to be abhorrent, in many cases the reasoning for it ends up being that deep down they are completely miserable and often hate themselves and feel the need to bring someone down to make themselves feel better.

Of course I could be wrong and she could think she is the greatest person in the world and really doing it "right" whatever the hell that is.

Either way this is not a healthy friendship for you, I agree with everyone that she either needs to change or be kicked to the curb, life is too short to have to deal with awful people that want to drag you down.

My hubby who also quit cold turkey years and years ago will still give me the ole "you are addicted to nic speech" once in awhile and why can't I just quit cold turkey. Well I have been vaping for over 2 years now and no cigs for 2 yrs and I just tell him, I have reduced my nic to 6 and 3 and zero and I vape because I like it!!!! End of discussion LOL bnrk
