Awhile back I looked up how much an advertisement would be in the USA Today.
Suffice to say it would be beyond the scope of CASAA.
If you pick a popular magazine, I will be glad to check how much it would cost.
My guess would be somewhere around $40,000 but that's just a guess.
Having said all that, I totally agree with you about what needs doing.
I've felt that way for many years now.
I still say we need Leonardo DiCaprio to step up to the plate.
As an advert, or what industry would most likely want to promote, the cost would be high (from consumer perspective).
But as a public service announcement (PSA), or what likes of CAASA, would want to disseminate, the cost would be lower. I believe significantly lower.
Like anything relating to information distribution, it would benefit from a campaign. One piece in one media outlet, on one day is not likely to seep into many minds. But having coordinators around the country who are strategically working to disseminate info in various ways, and then promoting each others distribution efforts, along with vape community's support, and people would likely get a different story. Well, at least until liberal press seeks to trounce upon the messengers in an all out effort to kill the message.
