A lot of the public are more open minded then we think I have managed to get quite a few in my home town who used to scowl accepting that it is a better way then smoking and converted a few smoker's in the process. With all respect to casaa they can have all the studies on all the websites they want it makes little difference if hardly anyone is looking for it do we honestly believe the public are looking for casaa when they don't even really understand what vaping is to start with.

We as vapers are the best message and ambassador's for vaping but not enough of us are engaging the public day in, day out in a polite courteous way its not about telling them the media is lying or that they are being used just plant the ideas in their heads and let them do the work. Most will and the anger factor is magnified greatly by them finding it out for themselves, sadly a lot of vapers see the public as enemies or too stupid for believing the media but when it's all you hear you buy into it by repetition.

Vaping advocacy groups need to start getting a lot more proactive and mass information minded or they won't have anything to advocate for soon.

Couldn't agree more.

I'm sure such groups are always looking for ideas on how to do that.
But those ideas have to involve a serious lack of money.

Have any?

E-cigarettes: Doctors' View: E-cigarette, tobacco smoke enough alike to warrant regulation | Duluth News Tribune
I just saw the above link to a news story on the evils of vaping (or the negative health effects) on Dr. B vaping website and the title was enough I wanted to see the work of fiction it turned out to be. I just can't stand how people can get away with such B.S.. They quote sources that they don't fully name and don't list. Recent report from dept of health California, more info later in week in editorial, what nonsense, they say how bad vaping is without proving real proof and these news company just rubber stamp these articles. This is what non vapers see as what vaping is. Unfortunately the truth about vaping doesntake it into mainstream media, it doesnt sale papers. It bothers me that this is what passes for news in are country now. Does this kind of News reporting piss anyone anyone else off? Have you read a news story like this recently?

Then don't watch the news.

To be fair, they have all that on their website so that we, as vapers, can be informed so that we can then go out armed and inform those that do not know. ;)

How about a half page advert in some popular magazines I'm not a marketing or pr person surely they access to those. Robinho I get that but I dealt with that as well there isn't enough of us doing it so becomes pointless we need something on a far larger scale to get information out there.

Awhile back I looked up how much an advertisement would be in the USA Today.
Suffice to say it would be beyond the scope of CASAA.

If you pick a popular magazine, I will be glad to check how much it would cost.
My guess would be somewhere around $40,000 but that's just a guess.

Having said all that, I totally agree with you about what needs doing.
I've felt that way for many years now.

I still say we need Leonardo DiCaprio to step up to the plate.

How about getting some of the film stars that vape to donate some time to put the argument for vaping across as I said I'm not in marketing or pr I do best one on one or with small groups that's what I stick too. Whatever the answer if there is one we don't stand a chance if we can't find a way because right now vaping is being buried under a heavy barrage of junk science and scaremongering and it's winning.

Well get out there and do your part. I've converted quite a few smokers. 3 of them are my neighbors. Just gotta find some smokers and let them try something better. I think I got another one on the hook tonight. LOVED my cinnamon bubble gum flavor. Gonna give her one of those egos with a bottle of bubble gum liquid and see where it goes.

Read what I've posted Spidey I have been doing my bit both with the public and politicians for nearly three years but I'm one person on very limited funds who uses his brothers business party's to get my foot in the door with politicians and take it from there and i don't know how many people I've helped switch to vaping as I don't keep a count.

Makes one wonder what all else they've done this with, besides vaping, over the years.
Hmmm?
I gotta say, the older I get, the more I am convinced that "news" is just a propaganda tool to sway the opinion of the masses in the direction that the powers that be want it swayed.

Yup, that's why I tossed my TV back in '95. Now _I_ choose the "news" I read (which is very little, since it's all, as you say, NWO propaganda). It doesn't surprise me in the least that vaping is under such violent attack: all things true and good are, and have been since the dawn of time.

Funny thing, on my pinterest page I have a board vaping is everywhere and it's picture of celebrities vaping, i have about 25 of them. I believe we could get them to donate there time for the vaping cause. I'm going to try, but others need to too. my saying is Vape Loud, Vape Proud. Fyi loud not rude, as had people take it to mean that. Bad thing is advertising is big money business and we the people as individuals don't have it but together we do one dollar each would put together a big ad campaign.
