I remember the LAST thread discussing the nicknames we've given cigarettes, there was a member that remarked that a "stinkie" was what a baby left in a diaper, lol.

Even when I smoked I had to admit they stinked. At least the butts did. It's usually people who still smoke a bit that object to the word and I don't blame them. Doesn't mean they don't stink.

I try to wash my .... pretty regularly. :D

I'm with InTheShade, you call call 'em anything you'd like as long as I don't have to smoke 'em I don't care. *lol*

who was it that said "give a dayum o meter" is kinda low these days?? same deal *lol*

You Texas folks are odd. I say "toe-may-toe." Yuck, now I don't even want to eat them.

You aren't alone. It has struck me as sort of juvenile since the first time I heard it... But, then, I'm a live an let live sort of fellow. Folks can use whatever terminology they want and I won't likely complain.

When I used them, I called them cigarettes or by the brand name depending on the situation. Now that I don't use them, I tend not to talk about them very much. In fact, I think e-cig/vaping forums are probably the only places left I occasionally engage in any conversations about cigarettes.
