My lavatube is on the fritz...keeps shorting out. So I order a smoktech Sid. Tracking number says out for delivery. I of course am waiting anxiously all day stalking the mailman. He arrives with no vape mail. I tell him it must be on your truck it was scanned out for delivery. He searches the truck twice and comes up with nothing. He told me to go to the post office, they probably have it there. Of course they have no idea where it is. They will call me IF they find it. So ...... off right now.

Bummer.......

My mailman refuses to deliver mail if there's more than inch of snow on the ground. Last month he didn't run for 6 days in a row because of the snow. Funny how everyone else seemed to be able to get to work just fine . I had a couple of packages that were sent back to the sender because the damn mailman claimed he left me attempted delivery notices. I complained about it to our local postmaster, told him that I thought the mailman was just using the attempted delivery notices story to cover his ... for not delivering any mail. I got a "Well, we've had issues with him before" reply.

I hear ya. Funny thing is, the bills are always on time.

Not really. I have almost had my water cut off because they delivered my water bill to a neighbor's house. I have often also received neighbor's bills but I am better at making sure the bill gets where it goes. Now I periodically check my online banking payee list to see who I have not paid yet this month to make sure everyone gets paid on time.

Every time I'm expecting a package, I have to tell the mailman it's on his truck. It happens almost every time. I have to stare out my window and make sure I catch him. He hands me the mail, then I tell him tracking number says I have a package. And he says "oh let me check the truck". This time however it wasn't on the truck...it's in USPS limbo.

What's worse is that now UPS is offering a service that lets them just dump their packages at your local post office so that the USPS delivers them. I tried to cut out USPS by using UPS and it just ended up back at USPS. I once had a two day priority parcel that took nine days to delivery and they acted like I was bothering them when I kept asking about it. I don't know what happened to USPS but they have gone way down hill, especially within the last six months or so. If you're getting something important delivered DO NOT rely on the US mail.

In all fairness, the USPS does a great job 99% of the time. We just tend to remember the times things don't work out. (OP, you have my complete sympathy.)

Right now, I'm very fond of USPS. I live on 'Fairview Road' but accidently had three packages sent to the same number on 'Fairview Street' (which is also a valid address but it's not near me). Anyway, the USPS recognized my name and delivered all three to the right place. The mailman even came to my door and pointed out the error and advised me to check if anything else had been affected.

The benefits of living in a small town I suppose. I'm in NYC nobody here cares if the mail goes to the right address.

A few years ago I did the Blockbuster movies by mail thing and finally cancelled it because I never got the movies half the time. When I would check my BB account online they would show the movies as delivered AND returned. I think our ...... of a mailman was taking them home, watching them, and then returning them. I guess I should've been grateful that he did return them at least.

Fedex does this too, they call it "smart post".

I am going through the exact same ordeal as I write this.

I was shipped $100 worth of stuff from HALO ( located in NJ ) on Feb 16. I live in NYC by the way just a stones throw away.

My tracking info says arrived at the PO at 12:20pm and delivered to my Apt Building at 12:28...8 minutes total from arriving at the PO...REALLY ? Anyway I never received it and I have a doorman 24/7 that signs for packages.

I call Halo ...... off get ...... off at the doorman look for it myself in the package room...NOTHING.

Today I finally go to the Post Office and guess what ? PHYLISS the post lady scanned it as delivered somewhere else rather than in my building and gave it to another driver to deliver it to me and it never got here.

She was probably too lazy or was on her cig break and pawned her work onto someone else.

Phone calls waiting in line to speak to supervisors crowded post office not to mention stress ...all because PHYLISS was a lazy pig who didn't do her job correctly.

I haven't seen PHYLISS yet or my package...still waiting on the phone call from her supervisor. When I do though I will rip her a new you know what.

The PO used to do a better job than UPS or FEDEX just last year. I guess things have gotten considerably worse.

I feel your pain. I may be out the $100 because I used Halo's $3 shipping which was a mistake now that this is taking place but I though how bad could they F it up when NJ is so close...ANYTHING is possible when douchebags like PHYLISS handle my packages.

I'm hoping my Halo experience is better. I got the two day priority shipping. They picked up on Monday and right now it is looking like Friday is the earliest it will get to me. I am not happy.
