I have a tornado. Does it make sense to get a 510 battery and PCC?

I have both the 510 and the eGo/Tornado, After using the eGo for awhile I find that I no longer use the 510 except as a backup and to introduce others to vaping.
If you feel that your more comfortable using the 510 for its slim profile(in comparison) then its definitely not a bad idea to have the have the PCC.
For carrying the eGo in your pocket you may want to look at something like a cigar tube, that may be a solution for peace of mind on not activating accidentally.

All the best, happy vaping,
Wing.

It absolutely makes sense. If you are looking for a smaller profile PV to carry around with you the standard 510 battery will be perfect. Obviously, it won't have the battery capacity of the eGo/Tornado, but with the PCC that shouldn't be a problem. My main gripe with the eGo/Tornado is the fact that it isn't very pocket friendly with that exposed and easily misfired button, so if you need something safer to carry in your pocket, the PCC and 510 battery should fit your needs perfectly.

The difference between the 510 battery and the KR8 battery are 0.6 Volts. The Joye 510s run on 3.1v, most other PVs (including the KR8) on 3.7. Scottbee is among those who prefer their Joye 510s on 3.7, too; other people thoroughly dislike it. It's entirely a matter of taste. (Personally, I can't stand Joye 510s on more than intended. Too hot, too harsh.)

If you want something smaller than an eGo, go for the stock battery, although I'd consider Mega batteries, too. If you have never tried them, you might want to try one or two first, and see if you like them enough to warrant further investments. After having vaped on an eGo, you might not like them all that much.

Well, if you buy one 510 battey and one of those cheap universal chargers (useful to have), it won't set you back by much. I still use my 510 batteries for that dozen or so flavours I like to keep ready, but don't vape enough to warrant an eGo. Or for testing flavours. You'd have some more backup, that's all.
But the difference is noticeable. That doesn't make the 510 bad, it just means the eGo is better.

A kissbox is an entirely different can of worms. While I love my eGo/510, I am waiting for the BabyJ, simply because it tastes entirely differently. An 801 will probably never be my main vape, but it will make a nice change once in a while, just as my cigar does.

Well, I ordered 2 manual batts, one PCC and some e-juice from health cabin. Hope it works! Thanks for the advice!

Well, am on day 3 of my 510 batts and PCC from health cabin. Gotta say, I loved them so far. Shipping was extremely quick!

Been using them more than my Tornado. Really missed the slim profile. In fact, I much prefer the TH, draw and flavour while using the 510 batts instead of the ego.

PCC is awesome as well. Let's see how durable are the batts and PCC.

I use a 510 and PCC combo as my backup and to hold a couple of carts but hardly open it other than to swap to the alternate atomizer/flavor that's in it.

The Tornado does all the workload.

What I want to do is buy a cigar double case and carry 2 Tornados and maybe a bottle of liquid if it will fit.

510 batteries punt out the same voltage as the ego, last a fraction of the time and die after about 3 months. The go off in your pocket just as much as the ego. The autos are rubbish due to inconsistancy. The PCC was a godsend as in the old days you had to go to work with about 5 batteries!!! The mega lasts twice as long as a std but made your e-cig too long.

The ego IMHO is the best thing to happen to 510.

No longer use my 510 std or mega batteries

My guess is there has been a lot of non-pocket-friendly complaints about the eGo/Tornado, and if they are smart they will put out another model with an on/off switch.

Totally different direction, but since you are liking the 510 atty, you might consider a box mod that uses the 14500 Li-ion batt (so you will need an external batt charger). It is true 3.7V, so gives more wattage than the eGo, and you can get them for about $27 from a supplier here. They have an on/off switch. I personally use the Bartleby, which is a 14500 box mod with USB PT/charging capability ($50):

Bartleby

It is my main all-the-time PV, and I truly love it.
