I would imagine fresh fish in Kentucky is probably not from the ocean saltwater fish. Freshwater fish tend to gather all the bad things lurking in a freshwater environment. Storm water runoff in lakes, rivers and streams, is fairly toxic. Some freshwater species like catfish and other rough fish consumed have a tendency to build up these toxins in their flesh.

So you are saying there is no pollution in the ocean?

I take vitamin D every day and my last physical showed an insufficiency (28.4 when the bottom of the normal range is 30 or above). I talked to my doc about it and she asked if i drank. I told her I drank 3-4 beers every single day. She told me to stop for 3 months a get retested. Apparently, drinking causes vitamin d problems because of impaired absorbtion even if you eat healthy and take vitamins.

So I quit drinking
Stop there.......... did ya ever think of just taking another Vitamin D pill? Pretty drastic measures.

Yep but diacetyl is proven to be bad and not so much for the other diketones.
Or have they?
The last I read is with enough heat they all are bad.......however..........it takes ALOT of heat to generate as much as are in cigarettes. Nobody would vape like that.

Don't want to turn this into another "diacetyl" thread but.....regular CAP VC has Diacetyl....V2 doesn't. I personally don't buy all this diacetyl scare stuff.
According to Wizard labs and Capellas site it does not this from the wizard labs site.
Concentrated Vanilla Custard flavoring by Capella.
Vanilla Custard concentrated flavoring is FDA approved for use in food, beverages, and products for human consumption.

Ingredients: Artificial flavor, PG, water
*Note this flavor does not contain Diacetyl, but may contain traces of Acetoin and/or Acetyl Propionyl

All Wizard Labs flavor concentrates are undiluted, full strength concentrates direct from the manufacturer, and contain no Diacetyl. Recommended usage is to test at 5% flavoring in your recipe, and adjust to taste.

AFAIK there is no proof that diacetyl is bad for our lungs, it is only suspected to cause problems. And from what I've read since diacetyl has become a hot topic the other diketones are not known to be safe either.

Hadn't we already decided Diketones were a lesbian rock band? ... or was that in another thread?

They're pretty good too :thumb:

Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled program now ...

:)
