Maybe because I still enjoy the occasional social analog since I quite a couple years ago - smoke does not bother me. I remember the nosy people making snide comments and judging when I was enjoying a puff on the street. I just took a nice, slow drag and tuned them out.

Now when I smell smoke, it makes me nostalgic. The people I really notice have an unpleasant smoking smell about them generally have other hygiene problems contributing to that in my opinion.

I love the smell of a lit cigarette. It smells freaking awesome to me. That helps me stay quit... because I haven't smelled that smell in over 25 years. I couldn't smell it after six months of smoking starting at age 15. I really couldn't taste it the way I remember it tasting as a kid either. I got a few glimpses of how it was the few times I quit for an extended period and started again, but it was gone again extremely quickly - weeks not months. I know I'd be back there again and it wouldn't be about taste or anything like that again; just maintaining normal and ensuring access to more. So, if I like the smell, all I need to do is not smoke.

After smoking a PAD for 25 years I can hardly smell anymore and my taste arent much better which kind of sucks with all the great flavors available to vape. I still hang out with the smokers at work in the designated area and it doesnt bother me. I was able two convince to smokers to convert to vaping and Im working on my third, its getting to be like a vape click with more folks gaining interest almost daily which I love.
