Hi guys! I had a quick couple questions. I've had my reo for a few days now and I really enjoy it.I've been using a 1.8 ohm (as tested on the provari) atty.It's a new atty and I've noticed the vape is a pretty cool vape no warmth to it. It has somewhat good vapor production but not what I'm used to. I've been using a 3.0ohm with a tank at 4.8-5.2 volts. Maybe its just im not used to 3.7 vaping anymore? One thing that may be the issue is the batteries. This pic shows the battery type I got with my reo and I know they are not reccomended. When I tested it with my meter (I have one that has a 510 connection it doesnt show resuts with load just without load) and the battery is firing at like a 4.18 which should be good. Thankfully I ordered some AW IMR batteries from AW IMR 18650 which Robert reccomends Hopefully that'll make for a better vape experience. I ordered two batts priority which will be getting here tommorow. Does my spring look ok? I've read some threads where they talk about the spring collapsing for protection. Im hoping these trustfires didnt hurt it too much. . Oh and if you can see it in the picture, there is like a sticky film in the reo I think the guy might of had a kick set up maybe who knows lol. Whats the best thing to use to clean it up?

I cant tell if your spring has been over compressed from the angle of the photo. But as long as the new aw batt fits snug I would imagine you would be fine.

The gunk looks like its probably the glue from some electrical tape someone had around the batt to hold the door still. That can be removed with alcohol and a q-tip. You can also run the who;e REO under water with the batts and attys removed.

I personally think 1.8ohms are too cool IMO. I prefere the 1.5ohms for a hotter vape. Although many are happy with 1.7-1.8ohm range. I would say if the 1.8's are too cool try a 1.5ohm.

I would also add it could be the atty. I had a 1.8ohm ecs bridgless atty that was just weak I had 2.5ohm attys that worked better. so it could be your atty. Also on VV I ussually vape a 2.5ohm atty at between 4.8-5.2v and I find it comparable to a 1.5ohm atty fresh off the charger with 3.7 batts.

I'm using one of those batteries today. I've got too many mods and too few AW's. You will notice a difference when you get a good battery.

I find that I get a warmer vape at 1.5 ohms. Its even better with a 306. The bridgeless ones from empiremods.com and the Cisco 1.5's are the best I've encountered. Might be worth a shot.

Your spring looks fine to me.

If the stuff is really stuck on there good and you can't get it off with just a paper towel, you might want to get some 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner. You can get it at an auto parts store. I use it for stripping window tint and removing the residue that stickers leave behind. Its good stuff and shouldn't damage the anodizing.

The spring looks good. Remove the bottle, battery, and atomizer, and rinse the Reo under hot tap water. Let water run thru the atty connector and feed tube. Shake the excess water out and set it in front of a fan or use a hair dryer. You can use some rubbing alcohol and a sponge, paper towel, cloth, whatever, to remove that sticky stuff from the inside. Swab the atty connector and the firing pin with a q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol. Put a dab of noalox on the very tip of the firing pin. Reassemble and try her out. If it still vapes cool, wait and see what it does with the AW IMR batteries. If it still vapes cool then, try a 1.5 atomizer. If it still vapes cool then, send it to Rob.

+1 to what Tripp told ya but I've been using cisco attys along time now and use only 1.5 and 1.8 and the 1.8 are alot cooler vape. I use them on my sweet and desert flavors. The 1.5 IMO are alot hotter vape on my Grand with the AW 18650s

I agree with the 1.5 ohm atty. It's surprising how big a difference there is between 1.5 and 1.8 ohm. Surprised me, anyway.

Hi Eric It looks like your questions have been well addressed. I just want to add that if the spring collapses you will see a color change in the spring...black, brown, and blue are typical colors that you will see on the metal when it is overheated.

You guys are great I must say. Thank you for the tips! Now one thing I realized is I didn't "prime" the atty first. Ha I tried searching the subject and what I got was drip six drops let it sit for 30 seconds then vape hell I dunno lol. I am still amazed I can get the grand wet. I would never do that with the provari. I'll clean it up soon cause that sticky nastyness is getting on my nerves I must say. Oh another thing he sent me two 306 atties and i have no idea what type or drip tip they use I gotta look that up.

Oh funny thing I did the other day. When my friend sent me some batts a while back first time I tried vaping along with some dripping atty's. I took them out and said hey these might work with the grand. I put one on the grand.. burnt atty!! God I hate that taste. I took it off to see what was up and realized the atty didnt have a hole for the juice to feed.. duh!

Ok I gave my Reo a bath. It reminded me of the first time I gave my son a bath when he was a newborn. That isn't strange is it? lol.. anyways I used 91% isopropyl alcohol to clean the connectors. I had it because it's what provaped reccomended for cleaning. Wow the sticky mess came off like butter I was relieved it was ugly. Anyways it's in front of the fan. Hey quick question I'm still confused about what priming an atty is. I did a forum search a while back and it said to drop six drops on the atty let it sit for 60 seconds then vape l, then add (or feed) juice when needed. I figured there is more than it than that. Blowing out the primer I read as well that there is already juice in there? Hell i dont know lol.

Don't have a Reo but have a bottom feeder in the shape of a Vmod XL. Think you need another Atty.

Haven't paid much attention to atty's apart from dripping to test juice. Have been reading a lot about them over the last couple of days.

I would try the HH357 or other Cisco's but found a review about SmartVapes dripping Atty. It impressed me enough to place an order for a couple. One at 1.8 for the XL and one at 3 for the ProVari's.

The great thing about the metal reos is they are a all mechanical mod. There's no electronics that's why you can soak them all you want with the battery and atty removed. Don't forget to noalox your firing pin to prevent oxidation and maintain could continuity between the firing pin and battery.

Priming is just what you think it is. Apply 5-7 drops of juice in a new atty to help season it. Wait a few minutes and then squonk as needed. Also on new attys some come primed with oil or vg or some other liquid. Its best to blow this out before you prime or use the atty as the primer tastes horrible .

Thanks whatistrue! I had to google the noalox haha never heard of it. Forgot to pick up some from walmart (if they even carry it). I was looking at the firing pin out of curiosity and it's bent a tad I don't know if Robert does that or the guy I bought it from did. There is like a blueish substance on the firing pin bluish grayish substance I figure that may be noalox that survived the bath. The good news is I put a ressurector on it and its working a lot better!!! I am definetely pleased now. It may of been the batteries, the connections needed cleaning etc, who knows its worlds better now. I'll be sure to pick up the noalox soon. Does walmart carry or only lowes type stores?

Yes!!! I just tried a 1.5 atty I forgot I had and it's a great vape. I'm really happy I bought the grand now. I really want to try the 306 I have. What's the cheapest place to get a drip tip for it?

Noalox is sold at most hardware stores and Home Depot and Lowes and such. It's in the electrical supplies section.

For a 306 drip tip, I recommend a Cherry Vape Cannon or Cherry Vape Universal.

The firing pins have a little bitty bend at the point. That's Rob's design.

Thanks Mudflap since I fixed it I've been in vaping heaven. It's a great solid unit. The flavors taste a bit better than in my tanks. I'm very happy now with the purchase and glad I chose a Reo as my first and last bottom feeder. I don't want to even try the other makers models no offence to them.
