I am new also, and totally agree with the SmokelessImage Volt battery suggestions (for a ciggie sized battery). Try discount code "voltsave" for 16% off, it might still work! And then next step up recommend a KGO 1100mah battery. I use the KGO's at home and the Volts in public. Both work great and give off very good vapor IMO. Shoot for 80PG/20VG juices too... much easier to fill up cartos with that consistency and still great vapor. I really like the
smoktek EMDCC's for the KGO (cheap clear cartos, about $2.50 each and you can rinse and use them over...and over..and over again).

I smoked Marlboro Reds for 37 years (pack a day) and have also never looked back... 4 months now...

I started with an 808 (like a volt or possibly your other one) for its cig like size and feel and that aspect definetely helped with the transition from cigarettes (pack a day camel lights for 12 years) . I found the small cartomizers don't hold much liquid and the relatively short battery life eventually drove me nuts, so I just switched to an ego using XXL cartomizers. For me, cartomizers are easier to deal with (only 1 piece). In case you are reading this with a blank stare, i'll try to sum it up.

IMHO, the VOLT(or similar) is a great transition from your Marbs (my 808 was the only thing that ever got me off cigs), but eventually I wanted low-stress; a bigger battery and a bigger cartomizer with more consistent vapor and less fiddling around. So i just switched to an ego setup with cartomizers.

Check out Healthcabin, for ego batteries and 510 cartomizers. Don't go with the kits, they all come with an atomizer/cartirdge (2 pieces) instead of cartomizers. For about the same as one of their kits, you can piece together one of your own with a couple batteries, a charger, a cone (for style:p) and some 510 XXL cartos.

best of luck and happy vaping!

Love my Kgo from Dark City Vapor. It came with cartomizers, drip tip, and free juice. That's all I (newbie) needed to get started.
& if you're a girlie girl, you can get a Kgo in pink if you wish.
Bullette says woof.
PS get some 24mg juice to start. Dark City Vapor has French Vanilla Cappuccino. Yum

Oh holy crap I love it.
Glad to hear it!
:)

So if you get tired of charging those little batteries all the time...
--The Kgo is a good step upwards
--Or you can get the PCC for your Volt batteries
--Or you can upgrade to the X2 batteries

See these links for the last two options...

In fact, you might just want to glance through some of their other accessories...

I am a girl.
Not so much a girly girl.
I must get back to the birch plywood floor I recently installed myself using my collection of power tools (after doing two bedrooms). I am finishing up the baseboards. :headbang:

I did, however, go with violet on the paint color for the floor.

Oh wow!
Are you married?

I am not worried about cutting nicotine now, but I would like to eventually.

I quit about a year ago, started at 36mil. nic & am down to 12. Not sure I can go much lower, I like my nicotine. And as for the kids, mine are 10 & 12, and they were very happy to see me off the cigarettes. They like to guess my flavors as I vape now. Be proud to vape it is a great decision!

I agree about the nicotine- I think it's great if anyone can quit cigarettes no matter what. Being hooked on nicotine is not a problem, IMO. I happen to know from my quit attempts though, my nicotine addiction is not overpowering. I certainly go through withdrawal, but it's not a big deal. The habit of sneaking off by myself and having a smoke, or practically chain smoking when I have a beer or a glass of wine... Or hanging out chatting with smokers... that social addiction is extremely difficult for me! I also have a serious issue with rebelling against myself when I tell myself I can't have something.

If you understand how nicotine works, the slight anxiety you feel when you haven't had it is caused by the levels diminishing. Stressors from daily life make you remember the relief you get from replacing the nicotine, and quickly you associate the two. After reading about this, it made absolute sense to me.

When you unhook yourself from nicotine, you actually remove a stress from your daily life, you don't add one.
You are no longer feeling the stress of diminishing nicotine levels.

I am lucky that I don't seem to have big problems withdrawing from it. But I still plan to keep nicotine in my vapor for a food few weeks or perhaps months.

After saying all that, I want to emphasize I truly am not trying to insult anyone's choices. I just know I personally am not as addicted to nicotine as other people I know.

Trust me, I have other addictions. People joke about chocolate addiction... The other day I bought a 6 pack of Hershey bars for s'mores. About 12 hours later I had eaten 4. 18 hours later they were all gone and I had to tell my kids I had forgotten to buy the chocolate. And they were like, "right." this type of things happens all the time.

A pint of ice cream? I can spread that over a week. Oreos? Yuck. Doughnuts? Meh.

Chocolate? I have gone through stages where I have eaten about 1/3 lb a day. I figured it out once.

I also sometimes write really long rambley posts all about myself. That's an issue as well.
