I’m overwhelmed. I (stupidly) quit vaping three years ago and the technology has since passed me by. I want to get back into it but the bulk of different selections is daunting. My fave in the old days was a homemade battery box mod with a 510 atomizer with two 14500s in series (knocked down to 5V).

What I loved about it: massive vapor with the 5V and long life of the batteries.
What I didn't love about it: dicey atomizers and frequent refills of the cartomizer (or dripping constantly).

Can someone recommend (technology and brands) something with:
Reliable attys - seems like in the old days, I could get one that would last a month and another in the same shipment that would crap out in less than a day.

High Voltage (I've seen a lot of variable voltage devices but I’m not really interested in the lower voltages). I want the fog.

A large juice tank for less frequent refills.

Much appreciated!!

Hi and welcome back  I own both the Vamo V2 and V3. V3 seems to be a better build quality in regards to the buttons IMO.
The V3 has ugly grooves in it BUT they just released V4- has the guts and goodies of the V3 but the non grooved body of the V2. Make absolute sure you buy good batteries and charger. Also Stainless Steel wears far better than the chrome and black Vamos which scratch very easily and get wear spots.
Best of Luck.

Welcome back. Have you looked at mpv 2's Same type of box mode(maybe a little more handsome) but battery is 2600 mah that will lasts for days. And I think you can still vape it while charging.(someone will let me know if I a wrong). The new kanger protank 2 has a small learning curve but nothing you can't handle. Google the mpv or go on ebay.

Good luck and let us know...

OK. Get a Vamo. That's the battery thing done. (18650 - as you know, stacking ain't cool)

Big tank? X9

Juice? Liqua Apple.

You can take it up to 6v on this beast and it's cheap as chips.

The V2 vamo should be bought in the Stainless Steel variety - any other kind and the coating will make your hands discoloured.

Get the SS and the finish will not change.

Get some Evod heads from FT now - the short heads work properly on the X9.

Hope that helps!

BTW loads of people will tell you to go "sub-ohm".

Leave that alone - the above will make you a very happy camper imho..:)

I own a Vamo V2 SS. It's been a great device so far. I may have to think about a V4 for a backup device.
If you should choose a Vamo, get stainless steel.

You might want to try the Protanks & Evods for delivery devices. No more burnt/dry hits with those.
Good luck on new re-adventure.

Now you guys are just making it more complicated. I know everyone's helping out but do you understand how hard it is to have ADD and make decisions.

Cartos, clearos, tanks, oh my. Still can't completely figure them all out.

SVDs seem significantly more expensive than the Vamo at stateside sites that I've seen.
FT has SVD and Vamo starter kits that are comparably priced.
But I can't find a Vamo V4 at FT but did find it at other sites.

I know I'm complaining but I've been reading about this stuff for hours and I'm ready to pull a trigger - I just don't know which one.

Say I had $100 just sitting around - what's my best setup?

Start off with a stainless steel vamo V2 and an X9 plus 5-pack of Evod heads.

Get a couple of high drain 18650s to go with it and an Xtar charger. 30ml of Liqua Apple

You're done (and may have change!).

P.S. Get them from FastTech.
