cheers...still looking...

off point, but one thing to note for me is that many of the online stores look really "90's"...im a web designer by trade, and generally don't trust (as many) sites that are poorly designed. I guess most of these sites are newish or just never had the cash or design skills/interest to make anything better. especially with something like ecigs, for a newby like me you want to go with something that at least appears professional...as this is getting way mainstream a really professional site could clear up!!

anyhow, off looking again. thanks for the tips. sure ill have more Q's

Dont be tricked by some of the professional looking websites! There are one or two where the websites look better and more up to date than most, but the gear is a bit pricey and in many cases not up to the standards i would expect.

thanks

looking at EGO C Twist 1100mAh - CE5 Kit

im not bothered about having passthru charging if I have 2 batteries...
ego seems to fit most parts so I can swap in new parts later if I choose?
clear tank or slot so I can see how muchejuice I have left is good
looks I don't really care for so much

so, is the obove kit any good?!

thanks

Looks like the ideal sort of kit yep. I havent used a twist, but they do offer variable voltage and lots of people rate them. I've never used a pass thru either - as you say with 2 batteries there is never really any need. And yep, ego threads are compatible with loads of different gear. The twists may also be compatible with 510 threads, but having not used them perhaps someone else could confirm.

Good point. Reminds me of when I worked in construction and many customers would "demand" a particular brand of exterior stain. I'd argue the pros of superior products but sometimes I lost out. I'd have them sign a disclaimer and sure enuff within 2 yrs they'd be calling me up complaining that the stain "they chose" was fading and not wearing well. The "popular" stain...most of the company's profits went into a HUGE marketing campaign and of course everyone would see their ads and believe it must be good. The company these days has virtually disappeared.
Polyurethane caulking and spray foam insulation...Decades ago I was one of the very few that would strongly recommend these products to customers and it was all to their benefit.

I own both Twists and Spinners and prefer the Spinner because:
smaller/ shorter
Twist voltage markings invisible
Spinner voltage dial wider/ knurled and voltage markings easy to see

These are the threads on the Twist and Spinner- uses eGo and 510 threaded accessories- the most popular and gives you the most options for juice delivery devices (holds and vaporizes the juice).

If buying the Spinner avoid the Chrome version as the numbers wear out quickly.

or Riva Ego 900 CE4 Starter Kit
Riva over here is known as the Kgo. I own and love it. Through a non profit vape prog have distributed over 400 Kgo kits- out of 800 batteries 5 failed batteries

If this is the kit you're thinking about
Vape Escape Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit [VE151] - £34.95 : Vape Escape
comes with CE4 Clearomizer and 5 cartomizers. CE4 is not rebuildable and would last about 2 weeks- possibly longer. Cartomizers=- each should last 5-7 days. There are many clearomizers- most are rebuildable- easy and cheap. when the head (wick+ coil) is done simply unscrew and replace. Very ecomical BUT realize some "acidic" juices will destroy plastic tanks. Many have switched (I don't own it) to the Pyrex/ glass ProTank II thus eliminating the acidic juice problem. Make absolutely sure it's the Pro Tank II- Version I had issues.

Here's a review to give you an idea

so.........The Kanger EVOD 650 starter kits ---

2 x 650mah EVOD Batteries ---- these are fine for almost a full day each? should last many months...
2 x EVOD Clearomisers - these last around 2-3 weeks each and then must be replaced?
5 x Spare Coil Heads - these last around a week each then must be replaced?

so the kit is really only good for 1 month? then I need more -- costing around £10 a month,,,,plus the actual juice?

You're welcome. That's a GREAT price and, more importantly. it's from a reputable Vendor. These batteries are usually good for about 250- 300 recharges.
If you recharge when it's 50% discharged that only equates to one half discharge....so you can't really go by the number of recharges. Best not to allow them to drain all the way down if possible- batts will last longer this way BUT it's good to fully discharge them once per month. They are 650 mah. 100 mah= 1 hr of vaping before recharge is required but YMMV.
So regarding the batteries- if you're recharging both batts every day they should last 8-9 months minimum. As for the heads when they start tasting "funky" or the fresh juice that you put in the clearo turns dark it's time to clean.
Washing the tank cleans the tank and wick. Dry burning cleans the coil on the head. The coil gets coil in "juice gunk". When dry burned this juice gunk is turned into ash- rinse head after dry burning. If washing in sink make sure sink plug is in
You may want to consider buying a 510 atomizer to test new juices- they are very easy to clean as opposed to a cartomizer or clearo because there's no filler or wick in them- just a coil and sometime a metal bridge/ wick over the coil.

Best of Luck.

The clearomiser itself does not need to be replaced, just the coil head inside, thus the 5 pack of heads, which also last *average* 2 weeks. This depends on the type of juice you use - darker and or thicker juice cuts the life down. So what you are buying, again *average*, should last about 14 weeks. Each of the 2 clearos already have heads in them, plus the five extras - 7heads X 2weeks = 14 weeks.
Battery lifespan throughout a day depends on how heavy you vape. A friend of mine uses a 650mah and it lasts him all day, mine will last just long enough to get home from work. If you keep both of those with you with you I highly doubt you would run out in say 16hrs. If you prefer to only carry one battery around then I suggest looking to the 1100mah range.

im in the uk ATM, but as mentioned im not really interested in links to stores that's people own or are affiliated with (I do affiliate marketing so I know how people recommend any old cr@p if there is a few bucks in it!!)

so, anyone can give some genuine feedback....I appreciate these products may be good but with a link, for me they just become irrelevant!

That is not allowed here. It'll get you banned from the forum.

We encourage members to post links so the OP will see what what someone is recommending.
