Thought I got a dud too. I put it on the charger out of the box and couldn't get it to do anything.(said I could use it like a pass through) Come to find out I couldn't turn it on with it plugged in for some reason.

I can, leave it on, then plug it in.

The light will go off when fully charged BTW. so when you plug it in and the green light is on, That does not mean it is charged.

But..... mine was pretty well charged when i got it. it will flash red when it is dead.

it goes green to yellow to red then flasshing red when dead

Well, if I get any $$$ to invest again, I think I'll go the indirect route and invest in a multi-meter manufacturer. This e-cig craze is going to up demand. That, and napkins, little plastic bottles, etc.

Anyway, this is why a multimeter helps so much. Also, like others have said, you need spare stuffis. Just one coil is....way too few.

Hope it's the coil or some lack of contact or maybe some 5-button protection or whatever and not a bad unit. Good luck!

Okay, just so I don't have to keep answering questions im going to describe exactly what happened.

1) got packages in mail
2) opened then up, filled clearo with liquid and let it wick
3) checked to make sure battery was working, came fully charged
4) put clearo on and got zero vapor out of it
5) start to get a little worried
6) tried it on all different voltages, started tightening and loosening clearo
7) tried locking and unlocking ecig
8) get depressed realizing I just wasted 70 ....ing dollars on a broken piece of ....
9) currently have no e-cig, smoking cigarettes at the moment
10) tried calling electronic stix, no answer
11) post on ecf
12) keep trying to get this thing working.

Look at the bottom of iClear connector...if the center portion is recessed too much then it isn't making contact with the center pin on the MVP. Try pulling it out some with a paper clip or similar skinny object. It should be flush with the outer ring/threads of the connector.

+1

if that doesnt work your coil might be junk. If you have extra coils try replacing it, but try the pin first.

You have to remember these are Mass produced chinese parts, your just happened to get a bad one.

Rule number one: backups, backups and backups. With a backup, you can determine whether you have a problem with the clearo or the mvp. My guess is that it's the clearo, either the coil, or the connection at the base. Even a multimeter ($5) would tell you if the batt's not firing, as Pops suggested. Obviously, something's wrong, somewhere and once you figure that out, could you please let us know what it was? Thanks and good luck.

Dude...use a meter and check the voltage on the MVP. If it reads a voltage then you know the power is at the tip of the unit and there is something wrong with the clearo.

I also have a iTaste MVP and it works very well but a couple of my clearos don't fire because they don't make contact with the battery properly. They work fine on other devices though.

I would go with the multimeter.

You can therefore determine if your unit is firing. And if your clearo/ coil is functioning.

If those two are working, then you have a connection issue.

Without a multimeter, nobody here can pinpoint exactly where the failure is.

And as everybody else has stated. Backups. Get backups to everything.

...that's Mr. Pops to you friend. Or "Atty". ;)

I really don't know anything about coils, I only know about 510 drip atomizers.

I don't even know how the coils work.

Also, when I look at the connector, I see three circles. One outside one, one middle one, and one extremely tiny inner one. How do I get which one out?

So your GF has the dripping atty?
It's the center post (the middle one) that you'd try to pull up if necessary.

Ugh, I broke rule #1...
