...that's Mr. Pops to you friend. Or "Atty". ;)

So your GF has the dripping atty?
It's the center post (the middle one) that you'd try to pull up if necessary.

Glad you cleared that up for me Atty. Consider that engram burned in. All is well now in the Universe, my friend.

These have replaceable heads...I know you have liquid in it...but it is possible that the head is not screwed in enough.

If you think the center post of the clearo is making contact ...the next thing I would try is making sure that head is on right.

And...when you push the button to fire it, the green light does come on right ?

before you bought anything you should have got a little more info on ecigs and how they work. but have no fear there are lots of videos out there to help you. it def sounds like a bad coil. if you had a device that can test resistances it would have been a plus. if you have a multi meter handy touch one lead to the threads on the bottom of the clearo and one lead to the center post 9the one you pulled out witht the knife). if you get 0.0 or 0.1 something like that the coil is bummed out. if it reads a ohm like 2.3 or 2.5 its not the coil. make sure the coil head is screwed on tightly inside the clearo that could cause a short as well.

watch this and get a little familiar with ecigs when you get a chance.

Can't wait for the GF. When you fire the button what does the Ohms read on the MVP?

It displays ohms when the button is pressed? Cool! (I obviously don't have one).

A youtube reviewer said it didn't have ohm-meter functionality. Can you imagine that? Incorrect information on the internet! Next thing you know, I'll be dating french models (female). Always a goal anyway.

Nope...it is vv...but no ohm function - Unless there is a new one I haven't heard about. (I have 2 of them)

Yeah, I checked after I wrote that and added an edit suggesting we exchange the puff counter for the ohm's meter. LOL. What can I say, I don't have one either, it's near the top of my Fasttech list, and now it's moved way down, as I like resistance checking in my devices. The little iTaste 3.0 has a resistance checker, why not the mvp? I have three of those!

Edit:

When's the GF getting home? What time?

>8) get depressed realizing I just wasted 70 ....ing dollars on a broken piece of ....

this is the REAL problem :)

you can't bust yourself up every time you get something that doesn't work outta the box. you'll drive yourself nucking futs doing that, especially if it turns out to be a bad clearo, which happens all the time.

you probably chose the MVP because of what you read here or elsewhere, so you already know it ain't garbage.

besides, even if you were unlucky enough to receive a defective one, you did not waste your money, unless you bought it from a guy off a truck... easy to replace

so chill, dude, **it happens. (that's what backups are for)

Um...classy....billbeckusa faked me out. Does he get demerits?

(gotta kill time waiting for "the GF")

See? One multimeter would have saved 28 people a LOT of time.......

ROFL.

Thing is....if it had an internal ohm-meter it still wouldn't be ....conclusive. It could be a faulty unit (the battery side of the connection not internally connected) or a broken coil. Not to say it can't be other stuff too (poor connection/center post). But...the internal ohm-meter can't tell that the connector on the device is bad (AFAIK).
