I've been DIY for about 4 years and have good luck for the most part. I've had to tweek a few times but generally speaking the mixes turn out the way I wanted. I picked up some Capella's Honey Dew and Vanilla custard a couple of weeks ago and mixed up a batch with 60% VG, 15% Honey Dew, 5% Vanilla Custard and balance PG based 36mg nic. Tasted fresh and absolutely nothing in the way of flavor. I have steeped now going on 10 days and tried it again last night. It pretty tasted the same as when it was fresh. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? As strong as Capella's is I thought for sure I would get more flavor.

Not having tried either of these flavors I may be way off base here. What I do if one of the flavors are not giving me the expected result is experiment with each of the individual flavors until I get them tasting right. I'll start at a low percentage and work up until it taste right then go on to the next flavor. When I have each flavor tasting correct I'll take the finished mix of each flavor and start combining until the combination is what I was after. I know it makes figuring out percentages for each flavor difficult and the way I approch that is I keep track of how many mils of each I use and divide it by the total percentage of each flavor used and that usually gets me in the ballpark.

Capella's Honey Dew there is your problem me thinks. Buddy of mine makes a frozen melon and I scratch my head wondering where the melon flavor is. The CAP seems very soft and subtle to my taste buds. If you want more in your face flavor use TFA Honey Dew it's much better.
Thanks! I've actually got some watermelon I got from dessert Vapes so will order the Honey Dew. Yes, the TFA stuff seems pretty good. I had just heard just great things about Capella.
