hey guys. Been vaping for a 1.5 years just fine. No problem. I have terrible stomach pain at the moment. I can barely eat. The cramps are awful. I've thought all the things; got laxatives, seen Dr. Nothing she could see. I will go back to get a more in depth examination because I can't shake this pain. Just vaping some suicide bunny derailed 12mg through the pain and thought... This pains got nothing to do with vaping right?

I've vaped flavors that made me, well to be a tiny bit graphic, it gave me ........ almost instantly after vaping.
Part of the reason why I have vaped unflavored for over a year. I haven't had the cramps or not hungry feelings though.

So, I would say it's possible but might be an underlying issue that hasn't been discovered yet. My dad had similar problems before he vaped and he had to go for a colonoscopy to find out the problem and he's been fine since.

I'll second puffon though, try not vaping for a few days (if you haven't tried it) and see if your body improves.

Can't really say. There's a lot of possibilities, and your best bet is to talk to your doctor. I know vaping can sometimes aggravate heartburn issues. And if you're swallowing any of your juice, that's real hard on the stomach. A spitting atty or coil build can certainly cause you to swallow juice. So take a look at your coils/builds.

But only a doctor can tell you what's going on. There's just so many things it could be. And no, I wouldn't automatically assume vaping is the issue here, but you can't rule it out completely either.

If you have

Been vaping for a 1.5 years just fine. No problem. I have terrible stomach pain at the moment. I can barely eat. The cramps are awful.

1.) I highly doubt this has a thing to do with vaping, especially taking 1.5 years before the onset of any symptoms appeared.

2.) I sure hope that MD you saw did tests and/or scheduled tests, because those kind of symptoms could be indicative of several different medical - not vaping related - problems. Including things you don't want to burst - like appendicitis or an infected gall bladder.

People - not everything in the world is somehow vape related once you start vaping. I wouldn't be asking questions on a forum if I had "terrible stomach pain... can barely eat... cramps are awful." I would more likely be asking questions in an Emergency Room.

1. Doesn't have a thing to do with vaping. Digestive and respiratory systems are not connected. Nothing you breath should alter your digestive system unless it's seriously toxic.

2. "Stomach" is a vague term, especially when describing pain. Your stomach is actually located just below your rib cage, but if you go laxatives that implies that your pain is in your lower abdomen. Being specific on where the pain is located can help identify the cause. Pain in the lower abdomen could be anything from constipation to an inguinal hernia. Upper abdominal pain is usually caused by gas, pulled muscle, or intestinal blockage. Since this is a recent change rather than an ongoing issue other things to consider are possible food poisoning, appendicitis, pancreatitis, kidney infection, or kidney stones.

The two things that are important here is being able to identify the specific area of pain, and seeing a proper gastrointestinal doctor. The doctor at the ER, emergency clinic, or your general practitioner really isn't good enough here, you need to see a gastrointestinal specialist. There are too many vastly different possible causes and it's going to take xrays and an MRI as a minimum to find the cause.

Cramps are usually in the intestines somewhere. Large intestine runs up the right side, across the top and then down the left side of the small intestine. When the cramp hits across the top, it does seem to be coming from the stomach area.

Zutankhamun, does the pain move along the pattern above? Does it move at all?

I really suggest seeing a gastrointestinal specialist like Completely Average suggested. Have your doctor write a referral to one.

Please keep us posted. We worry about ya!

Thanks for the help guys. Thinking about it more, completely average is more than likely right. It is upper abdominal pain, I imagine rickajho is correct also. >1.5 yrs, na. Probably just a pulled muscle, the pain in the first few days would be indicative of a rupture... But it definitely hasn't got any worse, maybe a tad better since.
Everything else is conducive to a strain.

I'll keep my eye out for a new rig to celebrate when I've managed to overcome this terrible injury...

Thanks

Just going to put this out there for you. Had been vaping over two years and never had any kind of stomach problems in my life other than the ordinary upset tummy. About a year ago I made a new juice, watermelon bubblegum. Tried a store-bought one and loved it, loved mine more. Used it as my ADV (not to mention all night vape).

It was probably several weeks down the road before I started getting severe acid reflux-type problems. Took me forever to figure out it might be the vape. The pain was excruciating by the time I switched to unflavored. Slowly, but noticeably, the pain went away.

An unfortunate, select few of us have problems with some sweeteners (and some probably have problems with other ingredients). It is rare but not unheard of. If your problem goes away with the unflavored, it’s the vape. If the problem persists, continue to seek a diagnosis. By that I mean continue to get a proper diagnosis until the problem is gone.

Good luck to you, it ain’t fun.
If you have

Honestly, vape was the very last thing I thought it was. I've seen so many people on here over the years blaming everything from brain tumors to hangnails on vaping to justify their returning to cigarettes. I was in the process of long, drawn out appointments to diagnosis the problem when I figured it out. I still miss that particular watermelon bubblegum recipe.

At the same time we have had people on here who were on the short list for a heart attack asking if their chest pain was vaping related. They found out within 24 hours of seeking medical advice on a forum - and a stent or two later - that, no, it wasn't vaping related.
