Yep.....I will look up the links you gave. I will troll the library too. I saw the acronym/lingo page sticky already. That was a help.

eGO-T sounds promising so far. Is there odd fiddling of the seals (flipping them, trimming them, etc)?

I actually prefer the tanks on the eGo-T. Although after a month or so now I need to rip apart the atty and adjust the wick.... all in all have been satisfied with them.

I'm looking at the maintenance on it sort of like changing the kitty little box. Worth a little bit of hassle to have the enjoyment of the critters :) Or like having to get an oil change for the car.

Ok, Low Resistance....means what? yes, i'm that new

Does it mean something to do with how hard you drag? You dont' have to pull hard on it?

Also, i dont' smoke a lot now...but I do intend to vape a lot more.....you can do that in your HOUSE, ya know? I would anticipate 2-4 hours per day possible. I guess that is not that much to some?

I have learned it is best to listen to the pro's and take their advice, so I am hoping to get lucky here.

You have gotten lucky with Swedishfish...When I'm asking questions I tend to seek out the ECF veterans and she is one of the best to listen to, IMHO.

It's a warmer vape with low resistance cartomizers.

A few of the minis I've tried have a very hard drag. This is not the case with the V4L, or the Volt, probably not the Bloog or Halo KR808. My mom had a small KR808 and it was like sucking a milkshake through a coffee stir. If you get a pv with manual batteries (push button) you also have an easier draw.

i have to completely agree here. i bought my first non-gas station pv based on her recommendation and i could not be any happier. no more battery frustrations----now, my new frustrations are based on what i want to get next lol.

welcome to the boards and best of luck with your search. it seems like you have enough starter advice to keep you busy :)

Thanks! Keep the advice coming!

I am not a big smoker, maybe 4 cigs per day......but I love the ACT of smoking, which is why vaping is so perfect.....I love the fun flavors (not looking for a tobacco flavor at all). I also want 0 mg nicotine if possible....health insurance tests tested for nicotine and I want that to be negative. I anticipate that I will vape a LOT more than I ever smoked. I kept it minimized for health reasons. I went back to analogs.

Spending amount: I am not really restricted on the money (this is a planned luxury purchase). I just want something EASY that really works.

Atomizers: disposable after how long? If I only vape 2 hours a day, that surely is not a heavy user?

A mini model like the Volt may work fine for you since you are such a light smoker. An atomizer could easily last you (very light user) 5 months or more. A cartomizer maybe 2 -3 weeks. You may want to just get prefilled cartomizers for the most ease of use.

Ok.....I think you all have given me a terrific starting place....I already feel smarter!

Off to watch more youtube videos on e-cigs! If vaping the stickstyle prosmoke (not a great purchase) was fun....it sounds like a real e-cig with a tank will be much much more fun!!

I will consider my next purchase to be a step in a vaping adventure.....not a final journey destination....it sounds like people's needs naturally morph over time as they learn what they like. Thanks for helping me save some steps though!

Thank you Della! BTW, guess what I have coming in the mail!
Wouldn't start with an R and end with an O would it?? :D

I meant what I said because I remember you from when I was a complete noob. And I see you over here in the new member forum a lot...and you recommend and listen to what the person needs. From Volts to Reo's...

Those of you sharing knowledge: Thanks! I really truly appreciate you.

The one implying I am stupid: move along now. Ignorance of an issue is curable and not the same thing as being stupid. Excessive arrogance is probably a lifelong personality trait. My ignorance is temporary. I usually ignore things like this, but I dislike bullies.

While my brother the electrical engineer would know these things, I do not. I also do not expect him to know the things I needed to know to pass the CPA exam. I would hazard to guess that knowledge of accounting procedures is far more useful on wall street than high school electrical knowledge. I do think condescension and devaluing others is a part of wall street culture so perhaps you do have something to offer them.

We all were new once, no one ever goes into anything new with all the answers. The first step in becoming wise it to know you are ignorant and need to learn so *bow to NancyBR*.

I was building a box mod and asked here for help, as well as asking my father (who knows a lot more about electronics than I do). It's better to ask a "dumb" question (no such thing actually) than to remain in ignorance.

There are a few different types of tanks and tank systems out there. The ones like this one.... which are plastic or glass and contain a carto. And the ones like this which are just a push-in to an atty.

Each have their pros and cons. I'm using the second type and tend to like them. however cleaning the atty every so often (I just did it for the first time tonight) seems like a bit of a pain in the .... since I didn't have my glasses on and had let mine go for over a month without cleaning it.

Thing I like about them is being able to vape for a while without having to fill up. Take enough drags (like having a cigarette) and set it aside for a while... Won't last me a whole day but no problem. If I have a tank set up I can usually drive and hour or two and not have to worry about changing things out.
