Hey Michael, That is good for you. From your sig, it seems like you spent give or take a little the same amount that you would have spent on ciggies. If you truly feel that you are done smoking, then all the power to you. I don't know if you know anything about MMT or methadone maintenance treatment for Oxycodoone/Opiate/Morphine or her oin addicts, but there are two strong views to kicking ...... which are similar to quitting cigs. Some Na Groups(Narcotics Annoynmous) welcome ex-her...n addict that are on methadone maintenance. It is similar to vapers who quit smoking, but continue to vape nicotine. Yes for people on MMT, they are switching there ....../opiate use, to a stable drug(methadone) and yet they are still addicted, although the drug does not provide any euphoric properties. All it really does is keep the person from going into opiate/opiod withdrawal, which is the reason that many people continue using h...in/oxycontin ect. There are still many NA groups who will not allow users of MMT into these groups, which would provide a stable and supportive atmosphere to these people which in the long run would probably help them to get off of the methadone. I know of this because I live in a small town in Northern Ontario and have had many friends that were affected by the scourge of and influx of prescription opiates that left many of my friends with 400$/day oxycodone habits. The only blessing is that since we are a small town, only some of those people moved to Toronto where there 400$/day Oxycontin Habits turned into cheaper 100$ a day he...n habits.
Sorry for getting off of topic, but it bothers me that the gov has in away created that mess and is continuing there narrow minded thinking when it comes to vaping.
So to answer your post, NO you are not strange or weird or anything.
YOU are one of the lucky ones who it seems has more of a psychological(habit in the mind) form of an addiction to cigarettes then a Physiological(addicted to nicotine and will experience physical wd's when stopping the use of nicotine) addiction. I would reccomend and I think many people would agree that you should continue what you are doing.
A good step would be to reduce the amount of nicotine in the juice you are using until you are using zero nicotine e-liquid.
It has recently come to my attention that some dieters are recommending zero nicotine eliquids in mainly the desert and soft drink flavors to people on diets as a way to curb there cravings for sweets. I initially viewed this with skepticism but in retrospect have noticed that I buy much less candy, ,and if I crave an after 8 chocolate, that I will drip 8 drops of after 8 eliquid(a minty chocolate flavour) on my atty instead of eating the candy.
So it may be good for dieters after all.
But keep it up reduce your nic intake and if you can quit, then quit, if you feel the odd urge keep some no nic on hand.
