I had my last "real" cig. Jan 4th and am not a bit sorry. I love that I feel better and am not coughing.

I want to say that there is a lot of inmormation here. I also want to say that I have learned a lot of stuff by reading stuff around here. I have been reading this forum for about 2 weeks and just registered today because it seems that people here are very helpful. I have been reading just about all day. I have more questions then I thought I had at first. Any help you'll could give would give would be soooooo great.

Ok here they go:

I have a Fuma, an EVO, and a Mystic. All of these I found in local stores. What are they? I see stuff about 808, 502 or whatever, and I have no idea what any of these (the ones that I have) are. I read and read and just think I got it and then I read more and get confused again.

Are there blank cartrigages that I can get for any of these? Or should I get something that is more adaptable if these aren't? I am not opposed to trying something that is going to do better for me. (by the way i ordered 4 samples from EC-blends the other day so I am stoked about trying more flavors then I can get locally)

How do I clean any of these cartriges if I can? I know I can juice them because I have been doing that but I cant figure out how to clean them.

Any help, advise, or just a stear in a direction to a thread would be sooooo great.

Thanx
Tina

Hi Tina and congrats on joining the forum. There is more info here than anywhere I have seen and lots of people to help you out with questions/problems. I am not sure what models those are, but someone will come along to give you that info. 808 and 510 are two of the most popular mini types/models. I would suggest getting a 510 setup online (or 808--your choice--510 seems to be more prevalent and it is what I used when first starting out). Then you can get all kinds of cartomizers, atomizers, etc. because they are all adaptable. Go to a site like Welcome to MadVapes LLC and take a look at everything they offer, then compare your reading to the products listed (they carry almost everything). After using a mini to quit I switched quickly to an ego model, then on to tube mods and now use 5v box mods almost exclusively. They pack a punch that a mini--cigarette-like device--cannot emulate. Search "cartomizer cleaning" or something similar in the search box at the top of any ecf page, this will explain it in great detail Ask as many questions as you need to, someone will always know the answer. Good luck and happy vaping!

    Hi Tina,

I am not sure if your Evo, Fuma or Mystic are 510 or 808 threaded :( I wish I could be more helpful. I do know that all the e-cigs I bought at the local convience and drug stores were not, but neither of those e-cigs were 510 or 808 threaded.

I found links for replacement cartridges for your brands:
    The Evo - EVO Cartomizers
The Mystic - Mistic Traditional 5 Pack Replacement Cartridges - 1.2% - Mistic Electronic Cigarettes
The Fuma - ...::: FUMA International LLC :::...

But honestly; Id recommend trying a standard, interchangeable 808 or 510 kit of some kind. Since MadVapes has already been mentioned there are a few kits there that might be good for you.

Since you're already used to cartridges (or Cartomizers) I will stick with those kind of kits:
MadVapes 510 Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Kit

You dont have to get this exact one, or even from this vendor, but this is a 510 threaded Ego Kit. This means that all 510 threaded cartridges from hundreds of different vendors would work with it. You dont have to use a propietary Tobacco flavor, or cartridge.

I hope this helps... maybe someone will come along that is more familiar with what youve got.

Now that you say that 510 and 808 are the threads then that helps a lot. As I was reading through stuff I thought that is what they were talking about and then somebody would say something and then I wasn't sure again. Thank you for clearing this up. That is so much help

I did more research after I posted and could only find the same thing you did. I guess I was hoping for a miracle. LOL

Thanks for your response, it might get me on the right track

I have found that 510 threading provides more options. There are number of batteries and cartomizers/clearomizers/atomizers available. I bought an 808 battery and cartomizers first but since have moved to a KGO battery with Boge cartomizers. Seems to be working pretty well for me. You can clean these cartomizers by boiling them. There are a number of videos on how to do that.

I am a newbie but have found the best way for me to clean the carts.

First, I found a how to on youtube where they simply used a syringe, vinyl tube and hot water. Next I found an injector kit at Kroger (because the syringe tip was perfect match to mistic cart for size). Then, it was o to the hardware store and a 3 inch piece of 7/16 clear vinyl tube.

1)Hook the tube to the syringe
2)Insert cart into opposite end of tube (removing cap and ring first)
3)Nuke (or boil) some water (I used filtered)
4)Suck the crud out of the cart via syringe

$6 dollar cleaning kit and a great tasting injected chicken to boot! woohoo!!

When I started vaping cartos were all the rage everyone was refilling and washing and boiling and baking them. Syringes were used to refill and clean. There was quite a lot of time spent fiddling with attys cartridges and whatnot. Nowadays it is so much easier -the new equip seems to come out by the month. The latest juice delivery systems are clearomizers and probably the best and most recommended is the vivi nova. They are simple- easy to clean and dry burn, you just fill it and vape. You can see the juice and the heads are replaceable. They are much more cost effective in the long run than cartos. They come with 3 heads so you can try and test which resistance works for you. All you need is a good battery and some juice.
