I make $80 a week & need mod

OK so I'm here in the mod section asking for help. I'm dirt poor. I'm beyond dirt poor. I make $80 a week. I'm looking at the $60.00 LavaTube right now. I've already won four 18650 batteries on an auction website for $8.00. (I thought this was a good deal) So, I've got four 18650 batteries but I don't know which mod to buy.

My options are: 1. The "L-Rider" aka "The LavaTube" on sale right now for $60.00 BUT, the website only sells juice for $8.50 for 10ml and thats pretty expensive concidering I go through 10ml in 4 days. I need to buy at least 20ml. So that brings the price of the L-Rider kit, the auction batteries ($10.00), and the juice up to about $90. I suppose if this is my BEST option, I can attempt to cancel the auction batteries transaction and get the L-Rider kit and juice for $80.00 total.

2. MadVapes RoughStack, or Bolt. Both are only $45. Plus the charger comes to around $10. So $50. Plus 30ml of juice for $10.00, which brings the total to $60. Plus the auction batteries at a grand total of $70.00. Or if I cancel the auction batteries, $60.

3. MadVapes 5v auto boxmod at $35.00, 2 14500 batteries at $10, charger at $10, and juice at $10. All for a grand total of $60. (assuming I can even use the 18650 batteries in this) If I cant, I'll need the 14500 batteries MadVapes suggests to use, so my total will be $70.00. Or if I cancel the auction batteries, $60.

So I really don't know what to do!!! I would like a variable voltage device, but it seems too expensive for me. I have tons of empty cartomizers here, so I don't mind not buying an assembled kit. I just don't know WHAT I should get for my money. I mean, I already have two 510 batteries. I'm kind of looking for something that will outperform them. Will the 18650 battery mods be more powerful than these standard 510 batteries? I mean I'm looking for something that won't break in the next month or two, and something that will outperform my 510 batts. More vapor/Throat Hit. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I should pick? I'm also going to check the classifieds here on ecf right now.

also check out the pif treasure section. They are always giving away free juice to people in need also check the deals and steals and the coupon section. I saw on vaping zone with coupon the lavatube for less. The lavatube is sold by many suppliers look around they are becoming a lot cheaper

I'd suggest the Madvapes box mod simply because it's the cheapest. So, start there and you can work your way up later. I've never tried it, but I've read good things about it. If it takes 14500 batts, it won't use the auction batteries you got, so sell those in the classies to offset part of the cost.

The other option is to keep stalking the classies until you find something you're looking for.

I did not think about selling the 18650 batts in the classifieds section. (assuming they would even sell, this is a good idea) I'm not sold on the aesthetics or durability of the plastic box mod. I've heard good things about the Bolt and the Roughstack, which both take 18650 batteries, but I don't know if they'll even be any better than the 510 batteries without low resistance cartomizers?

Also, thank you for reminding me about the PIF threads. I want to take advantage of them but I really don't have anything to offer since I've run out of juice and all I've got right now is a 5 pack of china juice filled cartomizers.

I don't know anything about the Bolt, but the roughstack is a solid device. I have a mini and a maxi. You're right; the box mod probably won't be nearly as durable. The roughstack is definitely better than the 510 batteries you have.

I will say that 18650 batts last forever before needing charged. So, that's a plus.

It's a really tough decision.

This is good advice. I started with an eGo a year ago and I still use my eGos sometimes.

Unless you are really deadset on getting a mod, there are other options out there.

I'd also suggest not necessarily buying your juice from the same vendor you get your hardware from. There are several places to get less expensive juice. Madvapes and Joogler Juice come to mind. And, as another poster suggested, try the Treasure Chest in the PIF section of the forum. Also, check the classies for good deals on juice.

On an extreme budget and already having batteries I'd go for one of the parkesvaping.com mods. Can't beat the price and although it's not regulated 18650s are big enough they hold voltage pretty steady, shouldn't have to change it out to often.

I'm looking at the parkesvaping.com site and I'm starting to lean toward this mod... If I got the menthol watermelon which is on special, $10 for 30ml, (I've been wanting this flavor for a while anyway) and I got the 6v batteries and charger for $25, and a mod for $25, then it'd come to $60! I would be able to vape at 6 volts with my regular ohm cartomizers and it would probably be like vaping at 3 to 5 volts with lr cartos. So, this is my best option I think...

The only thing is, I've never even heard of parkesvaping. I don't know how good they are at all? Unregulated? Ugh. I'm really not sure what to do. All I know is, I do not want an Ego Kit. No thank you. I already have two 510 batteries, I am really looking for something above the 3.4 volts they give out. Egos are 3.7 volts from what I hear. I am looking for something that will be more powerful than these two. I wanted either a 5v mod, or a VV mod simply because I am a heavy smoker and I want something that will tickle my throat and hit hard.

Yeah Idk about parkes, I don't think I like the fire button design. This is definitely a hard decision. I will see if I clear for a loan until friday with my mother tomorrow, and for how much, and hopefully I'll be able to choose then. I feel like the L-Rider/LavaTube is a good, sturdy device. Its also got free shipping as compared to the other vendors. So, with the help that you've all given me, I'll continue to come back here, read through the responses I've already gotten to make sure I haven't overlooked anything, and I'll try my best to not dent my wallet. Yes but unfortunately with the battery charger and the 4 $8.99 batteries from the auction website, and 30ml of juice the price jumps to over $70.00 which almost makes it worth getting the kit at pollo.

Edit: actually yeah, with the free shipping at apollo, and the battery and charger included in they're $59.99 price, it is cheaper at apollo. Then, you also get the carrying case, the atomizer, and the drip tip. I just wish the juice was less expensive. But, I think if I order the $10 for 30ml weekly special juice from VaporBomb it shouldn't be too expensive with shipping...

I feel like I've kinda got it figured out now Excited. It will end up costing me around $70.00 and I do have to cancel the battery order I made on the auction website. I am afraid the auction website will charge me a re-stock fee or give me bad feedback but, I really CANT afford to pick those batteries up too. Unless I get a quick loan from my mother and sell some of them off on the forum and make the $8 back. As long as I make the $8.00 back that is feasible. Thanks guys. Lets see what happens. I hear the broke part. Make a puck and buy nihm batteries. Scavenge the connector from your current batteries and then go buy your juice.

I made one with AA and AAA batteries. The AA lasts all day actually and works really good. I took the connector out of batteries I already had from some manual 510 batteries. I have 2 sets of batteries I rotate out and all set.

so maybe 20 bucks on the puck with batteries and then buy a bunch of diy juice and you are set for a long time. It is what I did not to long ago when money was tighhhhttttttt

I'm definitely interested, VERY interested, in cheap DIY juice making. Do you have any suggestions for where to order supplies for a small DIY juice collection that will last me 3-4 months? I think I vape around 2ml a day.

Everyone has there go to shop for this stuff. Everyone thinks that the supplier they use is best. So YMMV but my shop for DIY juice is Maintenance I think they are down at the moment though moving to a new facility.

I purchased I think off hand was

60 ml 60 mg nic
60 ml pg
60 ml vg
couple flavors for around 20 bucks

I was able to mix this down to 100 ml 36 mg nic at 70pg/30vg to have as a base for mixing.
