I miss my Zippo

When I smoked I collected all manner of lighters and match safes, I even have a Lighter that has a tiny music box in it that plat my alma mater's fight song. I carried a Zippo daily back then but because I seldom use a lighter I would never remember to fill it so I use a butane insert in my Zippo body and carry it that way. I would leave my cell phone at home before I left the house without a pocket knife and a lighter in my pockets.

The one on the far right resembles my most prized heirloom, sans the WSV. WWII lighter from my grandfather, a Merchant Mariner. Still has the same coil and coil pin.
He even hollowed out a coconut shell and put a Zippo in there, too, but alas, it went to someone else.

That's is maybe a tenth of my collection...lol. I loved my Zippos but also liked the Scripto clear lighters. If you want to carry your Zippo and not worry about the fuel evaporating these work great... Z-Plus Butane Insert for Zippo Lighter ZPLUS

NHALER has it for about $10 cheaper.
I used to have a few Zippos, I don't know where any are, except one. I carried it with me every day for many years. I got quite beat up but never failed to light. I got it 1972 when I was in the Navy. It says "US Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, PR." Like I said, it's beat up, but about a year ago, I cleaned it up, filled it, put in a new flint & that baby lit like a new Zippo.
Actually, I have another identical one that I had bought for my Dad that looks like new. Gotta love Zippos, they just work.

I never collected them, but I have one. And yeah, I do sort of miss it.
Maybe should brainstorm on a way to repurpose it for something vaping related.

I have the Zip Ez, you can slide the working part of your zippo out store it somewhere and slide the insides of the zip ez into the case

Thanks a lot, yet another pv I MUST have, at least this one was cheap.
I didn't see it mentioned yet, but NHaler also sells the guts and charger for the Zip EZ for $15.00, so there's no need to buy a whole new unit if you want to use one of your old Zippos.

i have about 20 or more, that I have missed greatly over the last 2 years. I find myself filling and flicking them from time to time. its kinda like driving down an old street I use to live on!!
I need to get those 12 steps.....I still carry and light one of my 286 zippos on a daily basis,I love that sound feel and smell
Now that you've stopped smoking and are purely vaping I would imagine you have a more keen sense of smell.
With that being said I would imagine your farts are more pungent then before. Have you considered using all of those zippos to light your farts?
