HI guys this is my first post so take it easy
I recently started building on a smok caterpillar 2 4 post rda about 2 weeks ago.
3 days ago I picked up a CS-WOLVERINE 6 post

Last night I built a coil it's beautiful I'm proud but it registered at 0.1 ohms I'm not sure if it's lower, I don't think it is a vape shopkeep suggested a hades mod with a 26650 battery.
I saw another post like mine about a 0.1ohm coil and everyone castrated the op
I'm not stupid I'm just learning.
How can I safely run this coil I wish to learn competition level builds I know it CAN be done my question is how? This thread won't let me post a pic of my build but you can see it on my instagram xander.t

I wouldnt use it unless you understand ohms law and know what battery youre using. By the sounds of it you dont know ohms law.

A 0.1 ohm build draws 42a at 4.2v, there is no battery that can do that safely. There is a reason this type of thread gets a negative response, because guys who build like this without knowing what they're doing end up on the local news and give vaping a bad rep.

I'm sure you will get sound advice here Xander, but I would caution you as you're nearing the no -ohm realm I'm not sure of your experience level but I suspect you're looking for mega clouds and I don't want you to wind up with a pipe bomb , in conclusion I'd advise you to start out a little slower .......e.g. , my son's first car was a BMW M3 , I was against it but relented , he's ok but the M is no more......

A box mod wired in parallel with 26650's, or a high wattage regulated box mod with the appropriate batteries.

General rule: If you ask how to do something like this then the answer is to do more research and understand what you're doing.

there is a reason most folks don't learn to drive in a Nascar race car ... building coils at .1 while you are still learning is not the safest route to chase clouds.

so your just starting out and like big clouds -- that's cool man -- but be safe and get a regulated mod -- there are mods out there that can regulate 165W and more... and if paired with some known real VTC4 batteries will keep you from having a bad time... jumping in the game with a mech at 0.1 ohms (and you're not sure about the reading) is just asking for trouble.

I cannot answer since I have never built anything that low. I do not have a device that will run a .1ohm coil. I run my coils at the minimum based on ohms law plus 2 for margin of error on my ohms meter and volt meter. I am not looking to do comps though. Ohms law is easy to learn and there are a lot of charts I use to "cheat". Youtube and looking around here for a few weeks and you will be set to start building. I never thought I would run dual coils or anything beyond a tank. Before I knew it I was building single then dual coils. It is a fun journey and I am always learning something new..

Honestly, if you must run it, please get a parallel dual battery mech box, and use two Sony vtc4.

Most 26650 batteries only have a cdr of 20A. Ignore the guy at the vape shop.

Your other "safer" option would be a high powered regulated mod, at least 150W.

You need to research. I'm sure every post before mine says the same thing. Understand ohms law, understand your batteries. This may sound dickish in text, but I'm genuinely highly suggesting you slow down and use this wonderful forum and other sources of information. With a little reading, you'll be able to answer your own question.

Sounds like I'm just another voice in the choir: Do some research. 0.1 Ohm is really hard to get a good read from most available meters, they just aren't that precise. Now there are readers that can and will read that to a great deal of certainty, but they are (for lack of better terms) big boy toys that cost big boy bucks. If you are dead set on trying that bad boy coil I would recommend at minimum a really trusted dual battery box (like my Sigelei 150) with top notch trusted batteries (Vtc4's or 25r's) even then I recommend walking before running.

I don't want to run competition level clouds, but I do want big dense vapor. I've been quite happy with a dual coil Ohmed at 0.3 on a mech with good batteries. You can take this journey, just slow down and learn how to make it through safely.

Scary. Probably should start there and figure it out. My suggestion would be to start higher and work your way down, you may find that with the right equipment you may not need to go that low to still thoroughly enjoy your vape. Best of luck to you, op.

so you know its sub 0.1 ... You're going to do what you want -- but I doubt you'll find many people here who are going to tell you everything is going to be okay and that it's a good idea... Just do us a favor and tell the news that it was a flashlight you were using at the time of your accident...

Unless your ID is tiny (which it does not appear to be) then 26g kanthal 9 wraps should be well above .1 ohms on your build, if I'm not mistaken.. Your build is shorting? Please be advised that vendors in b&m shops are woefully ignorant about battery safety, don't get your information from them and listen to the people here.

Lol.. No abuse from me, just simple warnings like everyone else. .1 is super low.. so, the best way to safely vape that is to divy up the draw from two batteries, and two of the safest batteries. I'd recommend a cherry bomber, here's a link to a review. For batteries, I'd recommend Authentic dual 18650 Sony VTC 5...not stressing enough the authentic part. Even making these suggestions, I still have warning signs going through my head, but that's the simple answer.

see if people didnt assume that i was being irresponsible like they do with most people i dont think they would give negative feedback at all i didnt build sub 0.1 on purpose i just started building and thats what i made
Clearly if i am here asking its because i thought the advice i was given seemed off
i'm not stupid as i said before i'm asking for clarification on where to look for the information i need to do this safely
to everyone that gave me constructive criticism i thank you it was very helpful to everyone with snide snippy remarks. blow it out your .... the things been sitting since it was built till i found out how to do it safely open your eyes and read before you talk down to people
i took 3 of the coils out its running at 0.2 on a regulated ipv mini 2 so you can all relax i wont be gracing cnn anytime soon
