¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So I got some great super clearance deals on some dual coil RTAs but I'm a single coil kinda vaper.

My thought was that surely I could buy some little blocks of food grade silicone to whittle down so I could make plugs to plug up the juice ports, air ports and take up air space on the side of the rta chamber I won't be coiling and wicking. To do this I would need extruded blocks or sticks of silicone about 2 inches thick.

I thought this would be easy to find, but I'm at a loss. I tried ebay then google but no one sells little blocks or sticks of extruded silicone.

But maybe I'm using the wrong keywords?

Anyone know where I can find something like this?

EDITED TO ADD: I am open to other ideas. I'm not set on the idea of using silicone. It's the only thing I can think of that would work well enough to seal up air and juice ports as well as to block the air space in the chamber where the second coil will not be installed. But I am keeping an open mind.

not sure on the size of them or if they are food grade:

I know it may sound far fetched but what about kitchen silicone utensils? You might be able to find a small spatula (silicone) that is thick enough. Just a silly thought. Other ideas is to look in kitchen/bakeware for silicon products. Of course they would have to be 100% silicon.

Yeah, I haven't seen anything thick enough plus it usually costs more than I'm willing to pay. But I will keep my eye out when I look around online and shop in the stores.

Could a old ikenvape cartomiser work. It has these silicone ends to them.

I have a ton of those things LOL. But no, I need thick chunks of silicone, like a couple inches square so I can whittle/sculpt it to the shape I need. It has to be thick and solid. It's purpose will be not only to plug the air and wick ports but also to take up space otherwise flavor will suffer in a big way.

For instance, I need to make something like this. This is a griffin 25 RTA, which is designed for a dual coil build. That block you see not only plugs the air and juice intakes but it takes up space on that one side of the deck that's not being used, so that you don't get air into that side of the tank and lose flavor.

Whittling silicone will be a pain. It cuts like butter and tears at the slightest nick. Have you tried it before?

That being said GE Silicone II at Home Depot works for potable water and many aquarium people use it to seal aquariums with no I'll effects to sensitive fish. It comes in black, white, clear and tan for about $4. At least try it to practice on before buying more expensive material.

Thanks, yes I have cut silicone before. It's not easy to get a good cut and I suspect whittling/sculpting would be more of a challenge. But with a sharp exacto knife and other tools, and being careful, I think it's doable. Also I would only have to do a few.

I did think about using the Silicone II caulking last year to make the blocks myself, but I decided against it because I didn't want to get into molding my own blocks, but also because from what I read I thought it may not be a good idea for it to be submerged in nicotine all the time. But I can't remember how I cam to that conclusion. I may revisit it.

That said, if anyone has suggestions as to an alternate material/method of achieving what I'm looking for - to seal up air and juice ports as well as to block the air space in the chamber where the second coil will not be installed.
