I am planning to get my first ecig very soon. I don't have a lot of money to do this with ($100 max.) I've been doing some research and I'm slightly overwhelmed and confused (I even read the new members info). Id just like for someone to tell me what would be best for me. I currently smoke 20 reg cigs a day. I would like to have an ecig that will hold its charge throughout the day. Id also like one that I would be using one cartridge a day with. Also id like to go with a company that the replacements are fairly priced. And ld like an automatic (I think) that is easy to use. If somone could help me with my decision making that be great. Or is there a website yet that you type in all your preferences into and it'll bring up what would be best for you? That's what I was looking for when I found this sight which has been very useful.

Howdy neighbor and welcome to ECF. I'm over in the Akron area. Here's what you say you want:

1) All day battery
2) Automatic
3) Good price
4) No refilling all day

It sounds like you're in the market for an eGo tank. I don't think you can get a starter kit with an auto battery though, but the consensus here is that manuals are much better in the long run anyway. They're new so it might take a bit of searching to find some in stock somewhere.

You may find, even with the tank you end up using two carts (tanks) in a day but you can always refill them, and they still take up less room on your person than a pack of cigarettes.

You could be like some people on this forum who go through 10 tanks worth of juice in a day....but probably not if your just smoking 20 ciggs a day.

I just saw this kit at liberty flights that sounds good for you:
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

Just note that many e-cig companies claim that their cartos last the same as a pack or two (or often they say "300 mouthfulls) this is a total crock. There is no carto out there that lasts that long. But it's not that big of a deal to fill up 4-5 of them at night and put them in your carrying case to have ready the next day. This kit comes with a 750mah battery, so it'll last most people all day when they are out of the house but I recommend you bring both batts with you and plug in the empty one when you get home. It's a lot better than the smaller battery e-cigs that you have to switch out 4-5 times a day.

RIVA 510 - CARTO DELUXE

In its own handy carrying case that can take two full eGo's or Riva's, this kit is suitable for those who want to take a different route in to vaping, the cartomizer route. With 5 refillable Boge 3.0 Ohm cartomizers and two special, wide diameter cones, this kit is ideal for those who are unsure if atomizers and cartridges are right for them. Couple those with the carrying case, we think this is one of our best deals, the case alone is worth $17.99.
2 x 750mAh Battery
5 x Boge 3.0 Ohm Cartos - These will require e-liquid as they are blank cartos
1 x Carrying Case - worth $17.99
1 x USB Fast Charger
1 x USB Mains Plug (US)
2 x Carto Deluxe Cone - Wider diameter hole especially for cartos
Please note : This kit comes with a US usb mains plug.
Please note: If you order more than 1 of these at a time then you will be charged $1.49 shipping for each additional kit, this helps us keep the cost down.

Black Riva 510 - Carto Deluxe21 REVIEWS (9/10) 20% $34.390n/a

So the kit is only $34.39, shipping is $2.99 and then you just need to get about 30ml of a few kinds of e-liquids to fill with. I recommend 18mg and 24mg, and a couple of tobacco flavors and a couple of things you'd not think to try like chocolate and apple pie or something.

Anyway, that's my recommendation for you. Good luck! :)

ps, another alternative at a good price that is similar:

With this kit for $30 you get the atomizer/cartridge method, but you could always add the cartomizers for another $8. No case though....

RIVA 510 - LITE BUNDLE

Presented in a presentation box with full colour manaul, this kit is suited to vapers of all experience levels.
2 x 750mAh Battery
2 x 510 Atomizer - 2.2 ohm resistance
1 x USB Fast Charger
1 x USB Mains Plug (US)
10 x Blank Carts - e-liquid will be required to fill the cartridges, sold separately
1 x Atomizer Cone
Please note : This kit comes with a US usb mains plug. The plug shown in the picture is not the plug that will ship with your order.
Please note: If you order more than 1 of these at a time then you will be charged $1.49 shipping for each additional kit, this helps us keep the cost down.

almost forgot! Regarding auto batteries vs manual batteries: here's a thread from earlier about the problems people experience with auto batts:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...galectric-will-not-fire-till-i-blow-into.html

I don't recommend them because you don't have any control and if they get e-liquid in them it kills them, that limits what you are able to do with them in the long run (for example, what if someday you want to try a drip tip: don't do that with auto batts) Anyway, just my opinion :)

for best prices and genuine product I can find, I recommend Best electronic cigarettes_ecigarettes_eliquids_ejuices - Heaven Gifts
Don't let the button on the manual models scare you, the button really is a non-issue once you start using it.
I got a type A Ego kit (I mostly just use the power cords the rest is spares lol) from Heaven Gifts and couldn't be happier and its quick and easy to refill on the run. I also bought....

1 Ego LR atty type A, (just to try but doesn't suit me just yet)
the Ego pass through and a matching type A atty (is in daily use),
Ego lanyard (fantastic never without it and added a keychain bottle of juice to it and I can vape while my PV is in it)
2 of the bigger Ego mega batterys 900mAh and matching Ego type A cone shaped attys for each only because the 1000mAh weren't released yet grrr(each 900mAh lets me vape constantly for 7-8 hours, usually 1 of these with the pass through gets me through a day of heavy vaping at home)
and a Ego pcc (haven't needed it yet but you never know, but I do have a total of 5 batts).
1 x 10pk of flat tipped type A Ego carts (averaging 1 cartridge per week on my all day flavour, easy to fill no fuss)
flavoured Juice 24mg/ml, 18mg/ml and 11mg/ml (get a range so you can find your niche, I average 20 mls of juice per week so allow yourself 30mls per week and remember to factor in delivery time for your 2nd delivery)
empty dropper bottles various sizes (seemed to have filled them all lol)
Distilled water for cleaning attys (and thinning 100% VG if needed)
Alcohol for wiping tips after others have sucked on them lol
cheap Tissues for blowing out attys and cleaning contacts, spills etc...

optional
Ego cartomisers- good for occasional flavours and to store as a back-up if your normal attys die
1 36mg/ml unflavoured juice (to play at making my own liquid, rarely used it in my 1st 4 weeks)
a syringe with blunt needle for filling cartomizers or accurate measuring when mixing
went to the local pharmacy (who make their own compounds) and bought some PG (used this to water down the nic content and flavour as needed) can also buy menthol crystals or liquid there too
bought VG in the supermarket (for same reason as PG and to thicken really thin/watery flavours like vanilla essence)

I am planning on buying 1 Ego T-tank atty and carts to try but they strike me as more fiddly than standard carts
but I will be upgrading to the Ego 1000mah batts as my budget allows but my priority is juice for now. I would also like 2 extra Ego USB fast chargers and 1 extra Ego power adapter.

I hope this helps you gauge what you may need to buy and to prioritize your wants. Remember you only need enough to get through until your 2nd delivery arrives and if you stop smoking from the 1st delivery you can then use your weekly smoking budget to slowly stock up.

Hey there, and welcome to the world of vaping!
I am going into week three of vaping, and yesterday I finally received the tank atomizer and tank cart that someone mentioned in the beginning of the thread. After using it for a few hours I loved it so much that I ended up ordering two new Joye Ego-Tank kits. I found a web site that. Is selling them for $59.99. Most people are selling them for $70 and up. The site is iVape.net, no coupon required, and that personal vaporizer is "510" compatible, so if you don't like the tank (you will) you can still use a normal atomizer, or car to user that others have been talking about it.
But the benefit of the tank system is that you actually have a small "tank" that you can swap out whenever you want, no screwing it on, or unscrewing it off, just pull it off, and push it on. In two seconds you can take a new tank and swap it out. It is so convenient, and depending on the way you VAPE it could last you all day. I was smoking 3-5 packs a day, so I can go through 5+ tanks in a day. My wife saw mine yesterday, and fell in love with it after using it, and seeing the ease of use. Plus she thinks that she will be able to get a full days use out of one tank. I guess the way to describe it to someone that hasn't seen it/used it, is that it is similar to caligraphy pens. They have those ink cartridges that you can swap out, and when you put a brand new one in, the pen has a small sharp piece in it that punctures the end of the tank to allow the ink to drip down. The only differences that you can refill these tanks.
Well that is my experience, oh and the auto batteries........you will get used to pushing a little button, the ones with a button work better anyway.
Welcome to the forum, and good luck!

Im going to second what Rosa said about the Riva Kit at liberty flights. (this battery will last you pretty much all day) Personally I would go with the lite bundle, if your trying to keep it under 100 its all you really "need" though a case is nice, I doubt you will be using the prefilled carts anyhow, the juice that comes in most is not the best, and you will most likley end up filling your own with juice you do like. I cannot vouch for Liberty Flights juice... I would recommend VaporBomb.com they have decent prices and the flavors are quite accurate. I have been very pleased with what I've gotten from there. If you like menthol go for the artic ice! Cant speak for the tobacco flavors because I dont care for them. Good luck to you, welcome to ECF and happy vaping!!!

AltSmoke is located in New Philadelphia, OH AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs about another 35 ~ 45 minute drive south of the VaporBomb. Rob at AltSmoke is a good source for E-Cig Hardware & Juice. I purchased my eGo kit and some Juice from Rob at AltSmoke. Rob would be very helpful in getting you started if you went to see him. I've also purchased juice from the VaporBomb with great results, however I did not see any E-Cig hardware on the VaporBomb website.
