Hey Becca, I haven't used a Priv but in checking it out the USB is recommended to be used for updates and not for charging. This is fairly normal for dual battery mods without DNA chips as they don't balance the charge. That being said, the batteries would best be charged externally.

This is where I buy my batteries and chargers, the X-Tar chargers are my go to...

Chargers - Batteries, Chargers, and PowerPax Carriers

Hope that helps, welcome to the forum!

Can someone tell me where to buy a charger for my latest mod the smok priv 220 Watt? Thanks a bunch!

Hello @Becca-JJ. You need to go on ebay or amazon and search "2A usb charger", the 2A is very, very important because this is the amp-load capacity of the charger.
^^this is for the mod its-self

An external charger like Xtar or Nitecore is much better and safer though.

If I may, can I ask which batterys your using in the Gpriv? Just to make sure your ok on that side of things.

A LOT of people think i'll just charge tge batteries in the mod without considering that recharge circuitry on the mod is smaller than a dime.

Sometimes batteries get hot or vent during charging; and ruining the mod forcing tge vaper back on stinkies till tgey get a new mod.

Much better to ruin a $14 charger than your one and only mod.

A dedicated charger will have full sized chips and spread out to keep the board of the charger overheating and is more accurate in charging tge battery to 4.2 volts.

My Artery Nugget the mod gets hot during charging and I always unplug it and charge it some later I'm wondering why this is happening but I do manage to charge it after a while though. I'll just look around for a battery charger for my latest mod I do like it alot. Thanks again!
