I posted about this in my introduction thread
got a lot of great reads , but didn't get the point i needed , so i thought I'd post here as well
I am using the v2 e-cig which is ok but ....
doesn't last long neither the battery or the ( liquid container )
reading around I am reading about the Tanks which i believe would last longer and contain more juice so you don't have to refill often , some people might of tried to tell me that but using so many codes :p that i haven't understood , so basically i am still at my start point .
what i am looking for is :
*Something that it's battery would last longer than regular e-cig battery ( no mods as of yet please )
*Holds more juice and being easier to re-fill ( condom method is easy but i don't believe it is wring for me , for some reason it doesn't last long and taste like it is burning ) .
* something that you would be able to vape for a longer period that 20 buff and you have to put it down for 30 min.
* nothing too expisive as i'll probably be moving up again ( unless once you buy a tank you can stick to it for long time )
* better hit than the e-cig.
* not a lot of maintenance and that is up to date.
I really don't want to go back to analogs , but refilling 5 juice containers everyday and have to have the v2 e-cig on charge every half an hour doesn't sound like saving me anything or be there for me whenever i need it .
Probably this has been discussed before , i just couldn't find it .
note : if you would please provide the website to that ( Tank ) you recommend I'd appreciate it , and please when you write on here please keep in mind that i have no idea what half the terms -you experienced people use - mean, if not all the time .
Thanks in Advnace

Well, if I didn't say so before... Welcome to ECF.

Uhmm ... other posters may disagree, but I don't suggest you get a tank...yet. Sorry. They all use cartos and you need to get good with a couple of cartos 1st. So, get good with the hardware so you know how it should work. Then, move into tanks as step 2.

Battery: Small cig-sized batteries won't last long. Even some of the smaller form factor "fat batts" may only last 1/2 a day on average. Look at mAh ratings... that's milliamp hours. The more the merrier. You can only cram so many electrons in a cubic centimeter of battery. There are differing technologies, but the general rule applies. So the bigger the better. OR get a PV that lets you swap $5.00 batteries out and uses an external charger.

You could purchase, for example, a 1000 mAh eGo Twist, or if you want separate batteries that you swap in and out of the unit, a Lava Tube or some such. Look around. There are stock "fat batts", mods/APVs, etc. You'll need to decide on what's best. Generally you'll want 2... particularly if they don't swap external batteries. You can charge one and vape the other. It's also a spare if one fries.

Get some cartos. Try a few. I'd also recommend that you get at least 1 atomizer for testing juices, "debugging" problems with equipment and as a backup.

Atty and Carto ohms (resistance) will depend on the unit you select so see what is recommended AFTER you select a PV.

Good Luck!

How about something in between a cartomizer and a tank, like a clearomizer? I really like my KGO, it lasts me all day and clearomizers are really simple to refill and hold about 1.6ml of juice. The price range is $50-60 for a KGO kit, you can look around for the best price. I know that sweet vapes, hoosier, and dark city vapors sells them.

I started off with a 510 starter kit and am now vaping on a device that is very similar to what you would like. The only exception is that mine is considered a mod, but it really isn't any different than a 510 battery except that the battery lasts for days. I am using a Silver Bullet (got mine from www.electronic-cigz.com) and you would get the tank and the cartomizers and everything else that you would need. All you have to do is fill the cartomizer, screw it onto the Bullet, fill your tank, press the button and vape happily before ever needing to change your battery for days. Depending on how much you vape and what type of liquid that you use, this should be fine until you learn the vape jargon. In my avatar, I have a different tank and drip tip from what you get in the link I sent you, but that is stuff that you can look at once you get it figured out.

One other point to make is that if you take the cartomizer + tank route, you will eventually have to get into punching holes into your cartos unless the smoktech ones are fine for you (you get 5 in the package and they're fine).

If you're asking about the smaller type tanks with all the vaping innards, I cannot help you at all. They appear, to me, to have a learning curve that does not interest me at all.

I agree, I have the Kgo and can easily get a work day out if one.

I have a few PVs and my first "serious" attempt was with a V2. For a mini style I found it a good unit; however, even the longest batteries don't really last that long. I always had at least one charging and I was always topping off the cartos. Went to an eGo next and I still use it at work as the 650 mah battery is still smallish to carry and has decent life. For home use, I now use an Epower 14650 with Resurrector cartos. The combo works great, lasts a good while, and is very convenient. I like the idea of a unit that uses generic batteries as I can stock up cheap when I find them on sale.

I'm not sure there is a perfect unit that meets all needs - that's why I have a few different setups. For work, I want something very compact and easy to carry around and the 650 mah eGo is pretty effective. For home, I really don't care how big the unit is so the Epower (or my Lavatube clone) fills the bill. I have not tried any of the clearomizers yet as there seems to be a zillion of them on the market and I have no idea whether I'll like them. I really don't want to spend anymore $$$ on experiments so I intend to stay with cartos for the time being...

The suggestions of a Kgo or E-Power are good ones. You should get 6 - 7 hours of battery life from either. Using a larger cartomizer with them, that you only need to top off on average a couple of times a day would also lessen the "fiddle" factor.

I would definitely recommend the Kgo or E-Power over the eGo. Why settle for a low voltage model like the ego (3.4 volts) when you are already using a 3.7 volt model which both the Kgo and E-Power are also.

Ive been LOVING the KGO and dripping the LR attys that come with it for months now. Recently i visited friends who had the eGo vision clearomizers linked above. I tried it, and its on par with the best hits my attys give. So i ordered a pair from Hoosier and will let you all know how it goes when they arrive!

How about the boge revolution v2.1 ? have you tried that ? any reviews ?
Thanks

VirginVapor is selling this new kit called a G-sub. Looks similar to a variable voltage lava tube, comes with a sleeve where it could be the mini or the full size, with 1 battery to fit it as the mini and a larger battery to fit it as a full size, a charger, and 2 vision cartomizers, and a few other things for $69. You should check it out.

Sounds like the cartos are burning out because they aren't getting completely saturated. Use a syringe.

2nd best way. Condom method but.....
When the carto looks full at the top, put the condom on completey over the connector end so it fits flush.

Grab the carto in the middle and swing it in a windmill fashion (taryn spin) with the condom end facing away. You will see the juice get sucked in. Repeat until it wont soak in any more.

This looks ridiculous by the way.

Once its saturated remove condom blow out excess till it doesn't gurgle. After that just keep adding drops as needed.

Never fails. Hope that helps for the time being.

Ego 650 mah batteries (they are short, fit my purse cig case and fit my pants pocket as well to carry around at work, then just run to the restroom for a vape break) last 8 hours of moderate chain vaping LOL. Vision Clearomizers hold 1.5 ml of juice which can last half or all day, but not sure how you vape? I've tried dripping and it's a pain in my neck because I don't want to carry around a bottle and do the whole dripping thing...especially at work! (I suppose it's fine for people just sitting here at the pc though.) I've tried cartomizers and cartridges/attys but those can be annoying... constantly having to refill, etc. I take a couple extra clearos filled with different flavors (for a change of pace) to work and an extra battery in case of sudden failure, but that hasn't happened in the couple months I've been doing this! I just like to have backups. At home I have backups for my backups ;) In the car I use a passthrough ego with the appropriate car charger which can be detached and then I throw it in my purse so as not to keep it in the hot car all day. I carry a PCC on some days in case I think I'll need to re-charge one of my egos LOL. I found good "kit" and equipment prices at Delawarevapors and Goodprophets which have fast shipping to me here in Eastern Pennsylvania. I'm sure other good vendors are out there but not sure where you are and if you want stuff fast LOL. I have a wonderful 5 volt automatic 510 passthrough for use at my computer that I got from JuicyVapor in New York, along with some SMOOV cartos and it's my favorite pv....seriously, no matter what I vape on that thing tastes good LOL but not sure why ....maybe it's the 5 volt thing. I use it and the SMOOV cartos, refilling as necessary, while just chilling here at my pc. (All my Egos are 3.7 volt although I don't have a meter to check what the ACTUAL voltage is.) I seem to like the LR clearomizers best (as opposed to STD for taste and draw.) Vaporgod has good prices and equipment/juices too, but again, they are in PA, so FAST shipping to me anyway!
Just my :2c:

Egos are only 3.4 volts, the smallest voltage on the market. And the reason the 5 volt pass-through seems so good is because it IS 5 volts and it stays at that level consistently because it is a pass-through.

This is the reason power regulated variable models are preferred. They can keep the power constant at the "sweet-spot" for vaping: 4.5 - 5.0 volts.
