I see too many "don't want to take Provari to work" threads

Mine goes with me wherever I go. I'm a field service rep, I spend time in phamaceutical companies, mostly, so no problems. If I go out to more industrial areas, I take my beat up Lavatube into them & the ProVari stays in the car. But, I leave the house every morning with the ProVari. To me it's a tool & tools are only useful when, well, used. I don't take a dollar store socket set to remove a stubborn nut when I have a Craftsman socket set. Dollar store socket sets break & you get hurt, Craftsman socket sets usually don't. ProVaris work & the don't break easily. That's just DummyMe's opinion & I approve this message.

me,i'm just the opposite.hate to be out and have the battery die :O

Your approach actually makes more sense, without any doubt. I only drop it down for the form-factor. It's actually quite pocket friendly that way, and I don't vape nearly as much when I'm out as I do when home. So two 1100's basically take me through a work day, even though I have a pack of five backup cartos and batteries at all times.

It's all what works for us - and whatever it is, it's good. 8 more days and I'm a solid 365 without a single smoke. Amazing!

Thank you, ProVape, Discount Vapers, CigEasy and V2. I'd never have done it without ya's.

I work in a mill as well. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped my provari on the concrete...off the forklift. I've dropped it carto end down.... the carto ripped itself off the device. I had to unthread the base of the carto from the socket with my razor knife.

I loaded a new carto, and kept on vaping. My bosses are cool about it. They're just happy I'm not heading for the door every 45 minutes to smoke. I stay near the process.

Yeah, I put a bit of change into this device. It was worth every penny. I can't tell you how many eGo's I've broken.

I agree, a provari is meant to be used. I do understand people leaving the gold provari at home except for special occasions though. Same reason people don't wear dress shoes to play softball.

noone i know would pay $200 for an e-cig besides me, and i SURE as hell don't know anyone that'd spend even more buying a "gold" provari. didn't that stuff go out in the 70's with the gaudy pimp outfits?

Props to all you guys. I'm in the use it camp also, it's a tool to accomplish a job, just like any other I own. I didn't buy it as a status symbol, I bought it because it's solidly built work horse. Someone mentioned guns, I have guns that look like he11 from going in and out of kydex holsters. Just adds character. :D

I bought a 650 Spinner to take to work with me, but so far I've only been taking my Provari, 2 extra batteries, and 2 extra tanks. No idea why I'm taking batteries and extra tanks to work, when I only go through like 1 ml while working.

Once my place opens (rental shop at a ski hill), I'm more worried that my Provari might get stolen, rather than broken. It gets very busy there, and sometimes I set things down on a counter, and if I do that with my provari it might get snagged. I bought a holster from SernityGear (which rocks btw), so I'm hoping that will work once we get open. I actually like my Spinner, its a slick little unit, but I want my Provari with me.

well some of us can't do that. some of us see the near 200 dollar price tag and thats a lot of money to us. so naturally we're going to be cautious of bruising it when it cost us an entire weeks pay. I'm jobless at the moment but every job ive had was 8.25 an hour. thats minimum wage in my state. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, at 8.25 an hour gets me 280 before taxes. So a provari is nearly a weeks pay. for that reason... I'd rather use my less expensive mods than take out a provari, if I owned one. but if the price was right, I would totally buy a beat up and scratched or dented up provari, just because I know it'll work well.

8X5 = 40
40x8.25 = 280 = Have someone in payroll redo there math your getting ripped off.

I understand the reasoning though, it's a heavy investment, that being said I bought that case noted above, and it's probably been the best investment ever. Even took it on a family vacation to Kalahari a couple months ago, I almost pulled out an eGo for the park itself with a waterproof pouch. Wife found that for me and I was excited that I could comfortably take it on the water rides and not worry about damaging it. Last time we went there I was using my eGo, which on the one occasion I didn't close the bag tightly enough it got wet. Wasn't a huge issue, grabbed another battery and let that one dry out for a couple days before using it again.

I have several APV's which are part pf my life now. I refuse to deny my own satisfaction to avoid the occasional scratch. I employ common sense in where I use them. For the most part, my provari's are heavy duty, certain atomIzers are risky on a provari, sich as the GG Odysseus, due to its weight. If dropped, the resulting strain on the cap is more than the design of the join of the cap to the tube will bear. However, nomally the 510 connection of the atomizer is the "sacrificial" part. Tonight, klutz thst i am, i droped a mini right in my refrigerator door. I was using a Vision Eternity in drip mode (which btw is kick-... on a Provari) and the 510 threads remained threaded onto the Provari, while the body went flying. The Ody is super heavy duty and for that reason, I only pair those to my SSTS with the purpose built adapter. ( that setup is like a crowbar, LOL) I take all my mods to work because I feel that if you have to baby a mod, you have not effectively solved the problem completly. Personal preference, i would rather change a MOD every now and then for the cosmetic reason than sacrifice the precious satisfaction of comfortably being free of tobacco in every life situation:))
