I don't know if the problem is with My batteries or charger/USB. I am suspicious it's the latter. Over the last couple of days I've noticed it taking a bit longer for the "three blinks" of the connected battery and then charger go from green light to red. Yesterday it wasn't happening at all with one of my batteries, no blink, no red, no charge. With my other battery, last night, three blinks, no red, little charge.
Please help. I don't want to send back if it's an issue I can take care of!!!

It will be a really long day if I don't figure this out!!

take a small flathead screw driver and turn the center post of the battery counter clockwise about 1/4 turn. I have smoke tip aswell and thats what I had to do. I did this for a while with one of my batts and it eventually stopped working entirely, so be careful with them. Only screw the cartridge on far enough to get connection. I found that tightening them until they cart is flush with batt seems to push the battery post in. Atleast for me.

I did have a failure with one of my batts like I said, I emailed them and told them my issue. I got an email about an hour later saying they were sorry and for me to just send the other batt back and they would send me a new one. Awesome! well I forgot about it over the weekend and come Tuesday there was my new batt. I kept my old one for modding. ;)

If I were you though I would certainly think about ordering a couple spares just incase.

I had the exact same problem with four SmokeTip batteries. I returned two of them for replacement before I discovered a video on youtube that explains how to re-life them. What's happening is: The center connector on the battery is held in place by a little rubber ring; this wears out or gets gunked up, making it not pop back up the way it should. Basically you can stick a pin or small needle thru the air holes and "lever up" the center post, and they work like new.

thank you sooo much! Turning the screw worked, but I have to "mess" with it every time I charge, "a little this way, retry" "A little that wasy, retry". Its getting to be a pain in the ....! I think I will order a couple more and send this back when the relacements come!! I really do like the smoketip!

I have four SmokeTip short batteries and a long one. I also have a VaporKings KR808D-1 "mega" manual battery and it is by far my favorite, for both battery life and reliability. I have just ordered another one, and plan to eventually retire the SmokeTip ones regardless of their lifetime warranty because they are such a hassle with the constant need to re-set them. Take that as you will.

by re-setting, you mean the 1/4 turn? Understood, I cant even get it to charge anymore. Im gonna send it back and keep the new one as a back-up. I bought 2 vapor kings and I have 4 x510 batteries that I am slowly graduating to, love the battery-life, sick of recharging, although I do love the smoketip cartos! I will learn to love something else!

ok, now that is cool! I may be leaving the 808 world. I have been chasing good money after bad! LOVE the smoketip cartos!!! Now THATS a smoke IMO, I AM a newb with dead tasebuds, but DO love the taste of tobacco. Yes, its ALREADY changing!! So, I lost one smoketip battery and the other one wont charge!! Bought two vapor kings(also 808) but not a good draw somehow, and somehow not up to same par!! Have an older Duo(808) that I needed to adapt. OK, WAY OVER IT!! The batteries cant keep up with me, they are unreliable, etc. If I loved the smoke tip cartos right away, I can learn to love something else!! Especially when I get my order from backwoods brew!!!! BTW I have three ego and two riva batteries, REALLY ready to leave 808 behind!!

Are they the vaporking mega manual battery? If so and you don't want to keep them I like those batteries and may be willing to buy them off you. :)
