Is it just me, or are there others out there like myself.
I was fortunate enough to find this forum by doing some research on e-cigs. With the help of all of you, I was able to make a sound comfortable decision on which model to buy and have even begun dabbling into flavors. But something else has happened along the way. I have quit analogs all together, and I find myself ALWAYS on this board engaging in conversations with people whom I've never met, but feel like I have know for a long time. It's like I'm addicted to ECF!!!:D I love this place and all you people. Am I obsessed?8-o

I don't think you're obsessed at all. Message boards in and of themselves are addicting, especially when you find one that you can comment on the subject at hand without feeling that you'll be persecuted at every possible post.

Even though I have not been here as long as some of the other members here, I feel a special connection to everyone here, because we all share a common goal.

It's easy to become addicted to this forum. We all have a connection to each other because of our desire to quit smoking and start vaping. We are interested in all the information concerning ecig and what everybody else is experiencing. I not only am addicted to this forum but am also addicted to buying too much. Can anyone explain to me why I keep buying and buying.

Whats funny is my family feels the same thing!: "You are always reading that board...", but we all share a wonderful discovery, and looking for the same freedom from analogs, learn from each other where there are no other good resources. Unlike (as already mentioned) other message boards we do not seem to get caught up in our differing opinions and argue. Most of the moderators here dont get on their "high-horses" and try to control the politics which is nice too. (Let me tell you, all of this is a rarity on forums)

This makes for a nice and comfortable sharing environment, and as humans we tend to gravitate to what is "nice" and "comfortable". Dont worry about it, you will find time for ECF and the rest of your life... remember soon you will be answering questions for newbies and thats a real good feeling too.

It's a new industry. The only reliable resources we have are other users, really. And I think this "frontier" mentality, plus the hard work of the moderators, keeps it a friendly community.

I always go and find the info I need and leave, or participate a lot less, in other forums. I've never run up a post count this high, or even a fraction this high, at any other forum. :) Never imagined I'd run it up so incredibly fast, either (heh...free time as a student).

I can imagine once I've settled into a routine I'll hang around less, but still, it's a really useful resource and it keeps you committed.

And oh man, I hear you, martha. I didn't get into this to save money, as I smoked a half-pack a day at most, but I didn't think it would become a spending spree! (repeat after me: health is priceless. health is priceless... :D)

Hi Justincase,

Everything is going great. I managed to milk that last cart. I had and luckily for me, my stuff came on Christmas Eve day, so I never had to run out and get those nasty analogs!

I felt like a drug addict hoarding my "stuff" the way I was baby-ing that last carto!8-o

A tiny puff here, a tiny puff there. Just enough to keep the nic flowing through the veins!

I love it here for the great laughs that just keep popping up in most threads. And of course the ever growing info on running these things without having to find out the hard way. And all the legal crap going on I`d of never known was going on behind our backs.

I`ve never posted in any forums except on a webtv nature vid caps group. Getting hit by lightning pretty much took me out of that. Would cost me to much to get back into.

I certainly like it here and hope to be here for a while.
I still think it takes a big set of balls to vap in a court house and police area like you have by the way. Sorry best terminology I could think of.

Of course you don't have an addiction problem! As long as you don't spend more than twelve hours a day here, or rack up a thousand posts in less than three months, I would say you have nothing to be concerned about. If you're not spending more on e-cig stuff in a month than your house and car payments - you're just fine. Don't worry about it.

(I'm thinking that you're asking that question in the wrong venue. This is probably not the place to get an objective answer.) ;)

OK, so the forum is "addicting". Many people spend a lot of time on internet forums. My hubby is on a Corvette forum at least once a day. Personally, I am NOT on facebook or twitter, and I rarely have my cellphone turned on. I think my "free" time is better spent on ECF than on any of those things and, certainly better than watching T.V. or playing a PC or video game (which is what I'd probably be doing if I weren't here right now...). I'm much happier "wasting time" in a place that helped me quit cigarette and potentially extend my life, improve my health, and save me money!!!!!:)
