I think we need to STOP recommending a Istick 50

And a Vaporshark rDNA40. And they were all purchased within the same month.
Which reminds me I need to call them. My screen is a mess & cannot make adjustments. Happened when I was out & that was the only device I took with me.

Many people swear by the Shark but not a device *I* would recommend.

I like your style lol. Which one is your favorite?

The Vaporshark has an edge right now because it is the smallest of all of them. I have a feeling as the weather warms up more and I won't have a jacket with me with pockets, the Vaporshark will be my go to mod when going out since it will easily fit into my pocket. Next would probably the SX Mini, although it is the heaviest mod of all of them. With the battery in it, it only weighs half an ounce less than the IPV4 with two batteries in it.

The sx mini has the most appeal to me. Weight doesn't bother me, as long as it's well built. Temperature control is going to be my next purchase I think.

Not sure rocket, the top pic he is huge, his shell has to be close to a foot front to back.

ya wave a nice crunchy piece of romain in his face, and he suddenly wants to be your pal lol

I'm sure he finally figured out his meal ticket he's always hanging around the edge of the human areas now
Those are gopher tortoise and they are a threatened species.

Fun fact, they are one of the only turtle/tortoise species that can't swim well.

Sad fact, due to the fact that they can't swim well, people who think they are being helpful have been drowning hatchlings recently by putting them into the ocean for their "safety" because they don't know a sea turtle from a gopher tortoise. The state of Florida had to put out a bulletin.

Isn't that ANSI?

Sorry I had a bit of a case of fat fingers this morning before doing a 10 hour shift checking SQL code. I was still drinking my coffee for the morning. Not an excuse just an explanation. You are right it is ANSI (American National Standards Institute). I am sorry that I transposed the s and i.

Confession time, I'm a turtle/tortoise freak anyway.

I've stoped and picked up countless turtles and tortoises that I've seen in the roads and highways here.

I usually have a 5 gallon bucket in the back of my truck just for turtle rescues.

Sorry for the off topic posts, resume with the self combusting istick talk.

Couldn't remember the name for the life of me, those two aren't gonna starve anytime soon.

I have a cat someone abused then abandoned. But he has a good life now. I ordered him his own nuggets for supper plus his cat food. If I go to Subway I get him his own roast beef. His favorite is KFC though

ROFL!! Ours gets half a can of wet food in the morning... has 'crunchies' available 24/7... and everynight at our dinnertime, my husband gives her half a slice of whatever lunchmeat he currently has... roast beef, turkey, black forest ham. Only the good stuff for HIS baby. :D I told him if he's not careful, for Halloween she can go as a black pumpkin. :D

I have three turtle stories from my youth that have affected me. All involved the campground that my grandparents owned. I lived there for 6 years.

1) I caught a baby turtle once. It had three legs and one stump. I named it Tripod in memory of a Welcome Back, Kotter episode I saw when I was that age.

2) An off-the-grid couple who lived in a tent for that summer caught a big turtle and made turtle soup. I was 14 at the time and I screamed that they killed Michaelangelo. My grandmother made me go down and apologize to them.

3) Since we lived on a campground in the deep South, I remember driving with my grandfather to go dump some trash at the local dumpster, and there was this huge turtle, dead, smushed, and the guts were neon orange. I mean, neon orange. That image has stayed with me forever and I will never, ever, kill a wild animal unless it is directly threatening my life or the life of my friends and family. Someone drove over that turtle on purpose and to this day it makes me bristle.

Back in the old DOS BBS days, I used to make ANSI images, using a program called TheDraw. This was in the days of 256 color VGA. :D And we used ANSI code to color our text on those black screens -- we could even have different-color backgrounds, using ANSI. The very beginning of computer graphics. :D 256-color GIFs were all the rage! :D

It's been warm here in Arizona...I went back to the iStick 30 for my pocket, the VS 40 and SX M are too heavy for my britches.....:)

Need a couple leather holsters, one for each side of the belt for anything bigger than 30.....;)

Tooted the iStick 50 all winter, not a problem to report, flawless from the first batch...the only thing I don't like about it is the rounded fire button, but after a while it just became second nature pushing it.

Think if I was to recommend a versatile mod for a starter it would be the iStick 20 or 30, they been flawless too. That 30 really has incredible battery life, especially if using a higher ohm tank like a naut mini.

Before I went on my buying/upgrading spree, the iStick 50 was my primary and the iStick 30 was my backup. With all the new mods, the 30 became the fifth or sixth string on the team, so I ended up PIF'ing it out through the PIF forum several weeks ago. Paired with a Nautilus Mini, the 30 is an excellent small and light setup. If you go with a heavier tank like a Subtank Mini, it does get a bit top heavy though.

I have a 30w on the way. I wanted something smaller for work. That's the same setup I'll be using, that our the nano. I have a very active job and it gets annoying having a big mod in my pockets. Wanted something small, light, and cheap.

Spoken like a true, intelligent, educated, tolerant individual! Way to go, 'Murica!

almostpolitically.gif

I'm mildly insulted by this for three reasons.

1. You clearly don't know Upstate NY because people up here wouldn't be caught dead without camo.

2. My hair fell out years ago.

3. I would never allow my picture taken without my Silverado, guns and dogs being in it with me.

Clearly a fake!!!
