I thought the new batteries I brought would work in a provari.

I brought panny batteries from Amazon at a great price. I now realized it wasn't a great deal because these were flat tops instead of button tops that my provari required. I don't think I can return these because I choose the wrong batteries. Is there any ideas as to what I can do or should I just chalk it up as a lesson learned?

I learned a long time ago to stop trying to find "great deals" on the internet. I only buy from trusted vendors that have a known return policy. Then you get exactly what you paid for. RTD Vapor is an excellent vendor to get genuine brand name batteries or chargers from.

Besides, Provape is explicit in their recommendation of using only genuine AW brand IMR batteries. Yet some people seem to think they know better than the manufacturer to save a buck. The Provari is especially particular when it comes to batteries. The Provape website even states that the Provari was designed around the AW brand batteries.

Lesson learned?

Will they work in something else you own?

You are definitely going to need AW IMR batteries with the bump on the top for your Provari and a good charger.

I'm with Bad, there.... plenty of people out there just looking to bilk your money.

That said, Panasonic cells are great quality -- AW uses their cells in many of their assemblies... just not in a Provari. Set em aside, and get yourself some quality IMR's as per manufacturer recommendation. The Panny's will work in a less discerning mod, and are probably worth keeping if you intend to get a backup for your Provari. Otherwise, you can probably get close to your buy price from the Classifieds from someone who actually has a use for em.
