learn how to DYI your own juice much cheaper then buying pre-made juice. pre made can get expensive fast. i spent $60 on supplies and it lasted 3 months, that includes me, my wife, and a friend of mine that buys some of my juice. find a good tank and a good unit and it will last a long time. you can vape an entire month for $30 or less

I got off tobacco completely with a mini ecig, and then built my own bigger battery mod in 2009. There wasn't much available in the way of big batteries at the time. If you really want a bigger battery kit, look into a box mod. They're generally a LOT cheaper but not as nice looking. If all you're after is better performance and long battery life, that's probably the way to go.

A carton of cigarettes costs $60+ here. Now that I have enough stuff laying around to choke a horse, that's about what I now spend a month, instead of every week. It takes a little time to accumulate a few extra PV's & stuff, but in time you will begine to wonder how you ever managed to have enough money to smoke.

Sure is nice to be able to spend a little extra on the wife instead of watching it all go up in smoke!

A pack of smokes here costs $12 so when we started out with the 901 penstyle ecigs.. My fiance switched to the Kgo I think and really liked it and quit the analogs then but I couldn't do it yet.. So he bribed me with a new Firefly starter kit for $80 with two batteries and two CE4s and told me he'd buy it if I never bought another pack.. Here I am 2 months later haven't bought a pack and have saved (hold for serious math-brain time) $280 even after my starter kit purchase! :D

He's since moved on to the a Provari which he's a huge fan of LOL

Edit: LOL I guess my math skills suck but its still huge savings! :p

Well you really don't have to get any expensive kits right off the bat... Try working with what you got and put the money you would have spent on cigs in a jar for e-cig stuff. It grows quick lol. I used an 808 for a year before going for the bigger kit. I spent $180 a month on cigs and was only spending 30-40 on e-cig stuff so at the end of the year spending 250 on a Provari kit was nothing! I also have picked up the odd PV here and there but with only spending 30-40 a month on liquid/carts I am well ahead of the game :)

Hang in there you will make it!

It's psychological. You HAD to buy cigs and never thought about the money you were spending.... or at least that money was necessary so it fit your budget. With vaping you really don't have to spend money on new kits, making it seem frivolous and wasteful. That's a good thing.

Just treat it like a hobby, not an addiction. The occasional treat is worth the pat on the back for your accomplishments. You are still saving money, no worries..

I hear you! It takes a while to find your perfect set up!

I started with an $80 kit of 2 ea eGo c upgrade batteries, with wall charger and usb passthrough charger. It came with the tanks that leaked (ugh) and atty. After I joined here, with great guidance from the other posters, I tried Vivi Nova tanks and Vision clearomizers. No leaks, but they really didn't float my boat. After someone recommended cartomizers, I bought those and now I have found what works for me.

I recently purchased some KGO's as back ups and have asked for a Spinner for Christmas.

Hang the expense. We will all be a long time dead, and I can't put a price on a few extra years of life that I stand to gain by not smoking, or the improved quality of life I also stand to gain by no longer smoking.

I was spending £7 a day or thereabouts on smokes, so despite having bought a bunch of cool new toys the savings I'll make from juice costing about £1 a day will add up soon enough.

It took me about 4 months to break even, but now at 7 months I'm about $350 ahead. It took a while for me to get there but now I feel like I can afford to treat myself to something nice once in a while.

Whatever I'm spending on vaping now is a fraction of what I would have been spending on Oxygen Tanks, Wheelchairs, and COPD meds in the future.

4 months huh? So there are dollars at the end of this tunnel???

j/k really ... I don't actually care. I track it just to see. I'm about to order yet more juice I really don't need, so really, how concerned can I be????? LOL
