better get an eGo :p

sure, the eGo is hated, mostly by manufacturers that didn't produce them, most of them are building knock off or variations of the eGo now. some just copy more or less succesful, others invent some own variations.

hat makes me angry is copying it badly, naming it eGo and even copy the logos and packaging.
but all that is still an indication for one thing: you better get an eGo :D ...or at least a very similar device.

not everyone wants big mods or boxmods while they are running around. personally i experiment with nearly everything, but guess what is in my hand most of the time? no, i don't tell again. :D

peace eGo haters

AT home I can use whatever mod tickles my fancy at any given moment(ProVari and Silver Bullet usually). On the road I have an eGo, just so damn convenient and with the Boge LR cartos it hits good with good vapor. The great thing is how many choices that have become available in such a short time with even more on the horizon.

I switched from a 808 to an eGo,the vapor wasn't as warm but I put a cartomizer on it and it's okay. The battery life from two eGo's lasts me all day, sometimes two.The 808 I was charging 2-3 times a day and the charge time was twice of my ego 510.

I use V4L cartomizers on my eGo with an adapter.I have tried some made just for the 510 but too much air bleeds in.I might try soldering shut one of the holes on the 510 cartomizers and see what happens.

Dripping is fine at home but on the road I use cartomizers.

I saved over 800.00 since I've been vaping.

Back when I started vaping they had 901s and 801s and 401s and RN4081s.
You had to walk 10 miles uphill in the snow to get one, and you were damn happy to have it too.

Then the 510s came out and we all thought we died and went to heaven.
Damn kids these days don't know how good they have it.

Listen to the guy in San Diego complain about the snow.... lol. Funny post tho. You forgot.. it's uphill BOTH ways......

How about "Get a Precise 10 and a Precise 16 or 18, and call it a day?" :)
Eh?

I guess this thread got derailed because post #1 is so unoriginal? We're being tongue in cheek, right? heh.

On the other hand ... sad to say, many people who first walk through the ECF doors have recently purchased greatly overpriced crap which would just about cover the cost of a Precise. But, having been burned, I doubt most would initially be willing to shell out the price. I'm a happy P18 owner, but it took me a year to get there. I'll stand by an eGo-Type as a good upgrade from the typical Mall or 7-11 purchase.

Yeah, I was kinda 1/2 kidding. I have 3 RIVA eGo batteries that are now dead, and I just ordered a P10 because my 510's are about to die as well. But, I doubt most people starting out would be willing to pay the money for a Precise right out of the gate. However, considering how much cheaper the rechargeable batteries are than a new eGo battery, and how much longer the rechargeables will last me than the other batteries, I now wish I had gotten those two right off the bat instead of wasting the money on the 510 and RIVA kits and extra batteries. I do have a couple Leo's that I really like, but they serve their own purposes for me. :)

I hesitate to post in this thread, (aw, what the heck) I like my ego with standard attys, for certain juices, light delicate flavors, key lime freeze, menthol-pink champagne.

Other than that my PV-1 is glued to my hand, never understood the threads "where do you put your e-cig, when you put it down", investigating surgical implantation.

3.7v is as high as I ever want to vape (sorry 5-6v fans, tried it, no-go) so a VV is a waste for me.
I get a kick out of how many "get a VV and save" posts there are, it's becoming the new "get an ego". :)

I tend to agree. But, with the huge, glaring fact that I don't have a variable voltage mod (yet). I have tried high voltage and found it intolerable, definitely NOT for me.

What has not been explained to my satisfaction is this:
Higher voltage requires higher resistance to be practical. So, a LR atomizer at 3.7 provides the same wattage as a higher voltage at a higher resistance. What is the gain? The way I read it is less battery charge length for the same vape. But, I have been wrong before. Once in 1980 I married a woman 13 years my elder (voice trails off into babbling ...)

Ha, this is funny. I started with the magma, and went right to a puresmoker V3 (it's great btw) and then when the tanks came out... Then I bought an ego (and the tanks for my inferno, and the clearomizers, and the cartomizers, and etc) Good grief, it is a good thing I quit smoking, I could not afford to do that anymore and keep up with my new hobby (obsession?).

After reading this thread and another like it I thought I would share my feelings on this.

While the eGo certainly isnt the be all end all PV, It has its place. I certaily found it to be much better than constantly recharging my little 510 batteries. Its wonderful that there are so many options out there for vaping. Everyone has certain expectations and desires for what they want out of a PV. And those expectations can certainly change over time. I got my 510 because I wanted a cig sized PV. After some time and actual experience I was able to refine what I wanted and how I wanted to use it. The eGo solved my biggest complaint at the time by keeping the PV in my hands and off the charger. Now after some time with the eGo I want more options so now I am getting a VV mod, the Provari. Just a few short months ago I thought mods were rediculous and that I would want anything like that. Like many hobbys it takes time and personal experience to learn the ins and outs and what you want and can achieve with the products that are available.

People tend to recomend what has worked for them. Ideally people will take into consideration the wants and needs of the one seeking advice and give reasons for why they recomend what they do. But not everyone is willing to respond with well thought out posts and the internet has its limitations on communication.
