I know so many people come here and ask for suggestions as to what to get and now its my turn lol. I have simple needs. So far since I started vaping I have only used an Ego C Twist. Been using it for a little over 2 months now but still consider myself a noobie. I havent touched a cigarette since I started vaping either so I want to keep that up! I want to upgrade to something bigger but still have it be as easy and maintainence free to use as a twist is. I want a VV but I dont want to have to worry about having an assortment of batteries, extention tubes, kicks, thread adapters etc. I'm not advanced enough to use all that stuff anyway and really dont care to be. I just want a nice, simple, easy to use, no fuss no muss PV. I want to put a battery in it, screw on a tank and be set for a couple days of vaping before I have to charge the battery again. I dont vape ALL day so I get about 4 days on a fully charged 1000 mah twist battery. I'd like to get the same kind of battery life. No bottom button mods either, I'd like something with a nice clicky button up towards the top. I want something that is made for 510 (as I assume most are anyways) so I can use my F-16 tanks or an occasional clearo like my vivi nova or even the stardusts or Kangers. Something reliable and under $100.00 Under $80.00 even better. Ofcourse like most i'd like to have the cash to throw down on a Provari and call it day but it will be a while till have that kind of loot to spend on a PV. I suppose I'd probably want to go the Vamo route or perhaps a zmax or something??? I dont have a clue. What can you guys recommend for me? Thanks.

Is there still an active coupon for that vaporheads place? Also, the batteries, that's something else I know nothing about. What kind am I going to need? Brand, size etc. Do I want protected batteries? Thanks

Hi Master Blaster,
A lot of people get their batteries from RTD Vapor. IMRs have a safer chemistry and can handle high drain, so are the best for these kind of mods.
For either the Sigelei Zmax or the Vamo these 18650s would be ok:
Batteries : Panasonic Hybrid/ IMR CGR18650CH Button Top
or
AW IMR 18650 2000 mAh (this seems to be out of stock right now)
or
Batteries : Efest IMR 18650 Button Top

For the smaller size 18350 for the Vamo, either of these:
Batteries : AW IMR 18350 3.7V 700mAh
or
Batteries : Efest IMR 18350 Button Top

This is a good charger - I use one of these:
Battery Chargers : Xtar WP2 II

So - a Vamo, 2x 18650 batteries, 2x 18350 batteries, and a charger.
Or a Zmax, 2x 18650 batteries, and a charger.

I think the best deal on a Vamo right now is at Exhale Vapors:
VAMO Variable Volt/Watt APV V2
Take 40% off the price there with coupon code 40PercentOffECF at checkout.

For the Sigelei Zmax:
Vaporheads have it for $90
NEW SS SIGELEI ZMAX VV+VW RMS

Vapor Alley have it for $70. Stainless steel with a choice of two finishes:
Sigelei ZMax Variable Watts Ecig Mod

Yes, they are listed in the clearance section. The blemishes are normally very minor cosmetic issues. Mine is one of the worst I have heard of and it is just tooling marks under the coating. I can see and feel them if I try, but it is a non-issue for me.

Good luck with what ever you decide to go with I hope it serves you well for a long time.

Ok well upon going over all the responses here I have narrowed it down to either the Sigelei Zmax or Provari. Is this a no brainer at this point? lol Provari originally wasnt going to be an option but I just came across some extra money and im only sixty bucks away from getting a new Provari V2.5 with the batteries and charger I need. OR I can just pick up the Sigelei right now! I'm torn. Now that ive narrowed it down to these two devices what are some pros and cons other than variable wattage with the zmax. I dont know enough about the difference between VV and VW so not sure that option is really a concern of mine. I just want to screw in a carto tank press a button and vape. I should just say screw it and save a few more bucks and just go big or go home its just that since the Provari seems to be the mac daddy as far as what 99% of you all say is it too much for a noobies first big AVP? $200.00 is a lot to spend on this device is it really worth the money or would I be just as happy with the Sigelei for half the price?

Just bought a VAMO for 26 dollars and I hear its great. Id rather spend 100+ dollars on a handmade mod but thats just me.
