But if you notice from the GrimmGreen follow-up video, he is almost 100% certain that a future firmware update will increase the VV to 6V or more, as am I, which is why I bought it....the ability for future upgrades to increase the usefulness of the device. I use low Ohm cartomizers/clearomizers anyway and for those, going higher than 5volts is just asking to burn up your atty.

I've watched enough GrimmGreen videos to know that he knows very little about the technical aspects of e-cigs, unlike PBusardo who uses digital scales, high tech meters, and that contraption that tests how well a tank holds onto a carto. He wasted 15 minutes complaining about how the Provari wouldn't fire a 1.5 ohm dual coil atty at 6 volts. If he knew anything about amp limit safety protections built in most mods, he wouldn't have tried that in the first place.

I bought a Provari as my primary device 3 weeks ago after alot of research (and a lot of viewing PBusardo/Grimm vids). For me I wanted a set it and forget it type device as I was new to vaping. Knowing how much I travel I also looked for something I felt would stand up to the rigors of travel (air and land). The Provari (in the few short weeks I've had it) has lived up to my expectations. Its an advanced enough setup as to where I may never need another device type (freeing up time/money to spend on tanks/atty's/etc) - but was easy enough to learn/understand that I had it vaping within an hour of my batteries being charged. I like it so much so that I ordered another one yesterday as a back up to my first just in case it was lost/damaged. My contention was that if so many people had drank the Provari koolaid and come out with positive reviews - it must deserve the reputation it received.

That being said I've seen quite a bit on the eVic - and while I'm sure I don't "need" it - just based off a few comments in this thread I may look to get one later down the road. In my opinion - from an all around standpoint - you cannot go wrong in starting off with a ProVari.

I see you are in Michigan too. Nice to know there's another vaper somewhere relatively close!
