i need ideas!! i got an e-power a few weeks ago n im in love with the thing and now i want another mod.... was thinking the maxi roughstack v2 since i already have a couple 18650 batteries and it's multi voltage, kind of want a bottom feeder but not sure how well that would work out as far as the bottle squeezing while it's in my pocket at work, all ideas are welcome need something sturdy but not expensive

Or get a Reo Grand. Uses the same 18650 batteries, and there's no worry about accidental bottle squeezing thanks to the aluminum door and recessed squeeze hole.

There are no bottom feeders I know of that you need to worry about the bottle getting squoze in your pocket.

Just from my own experience the roughstack is an excellent affordable PV but I had a lot of problems with the switch. Its easy to replace but not exactly what I was looking for.

If you have the cash get a reo grand. IMO it is the best PV out there. It doesn't have VV or a regulator, but is an all mechanical tank. It will stand up to the most abuse I have ever seen a PV go through and keep on trucking. It takes 18650 batteries for 3.7v or 2 3v 123 batteries for 6v. The bottom feeding takes a little getting used to but i had it down in less than a day.

If you are looking for a tube mod that takes the 18650 the silver bullet has quite a following. I have not tried one though.

It certainly IS the best mod available.

I carry a reo mini with me at work all of the time. There is no accidental squeezing, or leaking, just clean, pure vape, as the juice is fed straight up through the atty into your mouth!

No e-cig, mod or otherwise will go off in your pocket if you unscrew the atty or carto a turn before you put it in your pocket.

The vmod has a couple of good reviews. It looks like it should be pocket friendly. (6v but no big batts tho).

Figure out what you want in a mod and narrow it down from there. Since you've already got the 3.7v E-Power I really don't see a reason to get another 3.7 tube unless you just like it for the looks

Personally I'd go VV and if not that at least 5v regulated for consistency, bottom feeders are nice and tidy tings up but with the multitude of tanks out not a absolute must for me anyway.

Two questions you need to answer. First, what is your price range? Second what are you looking to make better? Do you want a better feeding system? Do you want a more consistent vape? The only reason to get a mod unless you're just collecting is to improve something. What do you want to improve?

The vmod as mentioned earlier is about $75 and uses a 14500 battery........Redskymods.com has a bucaneer model for around $110 still available on his thread in the suppliers forum and it uses an 18650. I have one of his Variable voltage Mark V Cutlass models and they work great.

Pick your choice, I've been extremely happy with both. Just stalk the classifieds and you'll find a good price - thats what I did! For the darwin the warranty is transferrable, provari it is not but my window got pushed in and they still replaced it for free. Then again it was a crappy soft window and they said they feel as if they should've did a better job w it from the get-go, but still awesome!

I bought a Maxi Roughstack and a week later I bought a Silver Bullet. The switch location on the RS is nice to me and so is the size, it's much thinner and shorter than a SB. A SB with a boge cartomizer is the same height as a maxi with a dual coil. I like the RS but I use it for work mostly or when I'm out and don't want to hurt the silver bullet. I like the SB for home use, in the car or with friends, RS hardly sees use out of work. Very unlikely to fire the SB while in your pocket since the switch is recessed, the RS is also highly unlikely to fire. Although the Omega is more expensive I think it's best of both worlds, smaller width and an easy to press top switch.


Also if you want sturdy check out the new Mantis from cigtech. Machined delrin (acetal) rectangular body with the same switch as the SB. Delrin is a very dense plastic and is much less likely to scratch than powdercoat or nickel plating.

James, the owner of KVS and the maker of this mod (I think he even turns the aluminum) brought a few of these out to a vaper's meet BBQ I held at my place this last June. I was surprised to see how thick the aluminum was on these puppies. They look like you could park a fork lift on them. They're a regulated 5 volts too. They're a bit fatter than a roughstack but I think they're worth $75.00.
Of course, I see he's out of stock right now but as fate would have it I'm headed out to Kalamazoo later today and was planning on stopping by his store. I'll ask him about them.

price range is about 50-100 for now, need something really sturdy, multi or variable voltage, feeding system would be nice but dont absolutely need it i can just carry arround a 5ml bottle to top off carto's like i have been. the stuff at red sky looks nice, cant figure out how to find a price though, that triple v looks nice to at 5v
