Moved to Assorted PV Topics - Rebuildable Atomizer Systems
That looks like a pretty good idea, I think I'll order one of those. I just have to get past my reluctance of ordering things from overseas. At least it's not from China.
Now for your suggestion: The AGA-t2 is this?AGA-T2 - Kidney Puncher
It looks promising, I would prefer actual glass to pyrex as I take good care of my things. Does your pyrex tube have jagged edges or does it look flame-polished?
Also, you haven't actually used it yet, so I cannot consider it an experienced recommendation. I do appreciate bringing this to light for me though. I shall put it on my consideration list.
I see in the description that the AGA comes with "some resistance wire" would that be Kenthal or Nichrome?
Perhaps I should order some Kenthol with it just in case.
"It's how you set it up that works for you"
Shows me things aren't perfect out of the box, but they can be made into something workable. Now, if only the manufacturer would build it this way, even if they charged more for this version, I would prefer that to buying something new and modifying it before its first use.
Please note very carefully that rebuildable atomizer coils and wicks have known risks.
Rebuildables are for experts, not average or beginner vapers with no multimeter or knowledge of how to use a meter, or when a meter must be used, or how electronic devices work. These materials cannot safely be used by the inexperienced or those without basic knowledge of electronics.
Due to the nature of this product we are unable to provide any type of warranty and are not responsible for any damages to your e-cigarette device that may be sustained from improper use of this product.
This is an advanced user item, and we do not suggest purchasing unless you are comfortable and knowledgeable in making and testing your own wicks and coils.
Warning: This device does not come assembled, it is an advanced device requiring knowledge and skill to assemble, and understanding of how to fine tune it in order to achieve optimal operational potential. It is not intended for beginners or the mechanically un-inclined. Assembly of this RBA is a learned skill, creating a properly working wick and coil can be considered more of an art.
To sum up what you are saying, "You would like an RBA that works out of the box."
Have you read any of the generic warnings on the "add to basket" pages about these and any RBA?
Just to clear one thing up, the T2 does come with a "glass" tank. Pyrex is just a brand name for borosilicate glass. You'll see vendors calling it borosilicate glass, glass, fused quartz, and pyrex. It all means the same thing. IBtanked tanks are also borosilicate glass. If they were "regular" glass, like what's in your windows in your house, they'd probably shatter due to the heat of the top cap. It's all the same stuff.
I understand there might be a breaking in period?
