I've recently turned my brother on to vaping. He is/was a daily a cigarillo smoker. I've given him several DIYs that I like, but they were not for him. The only thing that's kind of hit the spot for him was 70 PG, 18 mg peppermint, and even better, some 24 mg spearmint. (To start, I gave him my old Aerotank and and ipv mini 2.)

He's asked me for tobacco flavor, and I'm happy to oblige, but I've never vaped a tobacco flavor, let alone DIY's one. There are so many option, that I don't know where to start.

So, I'm looking for suggestions for a (more or less) shake & vape tobacco. I don't even know whether I'm looking for suggestions for what tastes good, or what might be a satisfactory replacement for cheap cigars -- I'm thinking those might be different things.

That said, any suggestion based on some experience is vastly better than my floundering around, clueless. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

RE: The Flavor Apprentice Flavoring Thread
The peanut butter with RY4 has become an adv for me. I tweaked it a little:
7% peanut butter
6% ry4
2% cotton candy
It's very good, I changed it to 0.5 EM. The claim is this is a S&B but with tobaccos, 4 week steep is pretty standard.
The only thing that's kind of hit the spot for him was 70 PG, 18 mg peppermint, and even better, some 24 mg spearmint.
Seems like your brother likes a TH. Could add:
ACV - Apple Cider Vinegar 1.0 %

Thanks for the recipe. RY4 is a tobacco blend I've heard of a lot. I have the sense that it's on the sweeter side, but versatile. It's good to know the recipe is still good with less EM, as he's still using pre-made coils at the moment. And, I have PB, so yea!

Really? LOL, that sounds A) like something I'd add if I didn't like my brother :), and B) a DIY ingredient I should learn more about. And, probably my brother like TH, but I'm certain he expects a nic hit. In fact, mixing for him might put a dent in my nic stash, so I've co-opted 1 liter worth of his freezer space.

I'm not a cigar type guy but I have some SC Cohiba that ia straight cigar taste to me. Bull City shows to have stock on the 30ml bottle but is out of the 10ml. Use at 2-3% so that will make a bunch of juice.

Thank you for the suggestion. I usually order from Ecig Express, and they have it.

Now I have two suggestions from you folks, and after he tries them, he can tell me what he likes/doesn't like -- that should help me narrow things down enough to make better use of some of the tobacco threads here. (thanks @Leo Bak).

Some really good suggestions above expecially the inawera and hangsen flavorings and reading through this thread it's dedicated to tobacco vaping.

I don't find any taste like tobacco but a cherry cigar or adding caramel tastes good. Has he tried non tobacco flavours? I started with tobaccos but the second I tried a mixed berry and a watermelon I was like DANG why would I want gross tar flavours when I can vape a watermelon. My ADV's are menthol watermelon, watermelon candy and huckleberry or harvestberry if you don't want the bad chemical thats in huckleberry.

Where do I find huckleberry or harvestberry? I am also looking for a good raspberry. I understand it goes very well with water melon.

TFA is huckleberry think harvest is CAP? huckleberry is my favorite but quitting it soon. TFA Sweet Raspberry is my favorite, Raspberry is "candy like" they say, like jolly rancher which tastes more like raspberry jam to me. You can make your own Harvest berry as well with strawberry, sweet raspberry, and a dash of huckleberry (its really strong) most recipes call for blueberry and others as well but they are to weak to taste anyways. I'd say try the strawberry and sweet raspberry to see which you find stronger to figure out your recipe with 2-4% huckleberry.

For a true tobacco taste I use Nude Nicotine tobacco flavors. Their tobaccos are absolutes and require very small amounts. I like the BRY4 by itself at about 0.75%. Their Honey Tobacco is also good as a stand-alone at about the same percentage. I have used their plain Tobacco flavor in blends like RY4 (based on Rocketpuppy's recipe) and it gives a real tobacco taste. Again, all the NN tobacco flavors should be used at very small percentages. I believe they recommend 0.5-1.5% but I usually only need 05.-0.75% in my mixes. At 1.5% I doubt I could stand to vape it.
