Good luck, Ameera! You can do it! If your mind is really set on it it is so simple to drop the smokes in favor of ecigs. It's cheaper to vape (once you've got all your gear and back up gear purchased), it tastes a ton better, and SO much more convenient.

I tried to quit with ecigs a couple years ago and it didn't work out. Back then all you had to choose from were cig-a-likes or really funky looking, overpriced 3.7 volt mods for the most part with a carto or a atty on top. Messy, aggravating, and unsatisfying (for me at least).

But the technology has come so far. I love my Vamo V2, my Protank, and my Evods to death. Infact I just purchased a Vamo V3 from fasttech that should be here in a week and a half or so. Expecting that to become my daily driver but I'll still keep my V2 as a back-up and close to my heart for getting me off the stinkies.

2 months clean now and working on 3. If you have a smart phone I've found the "Cessation Nation" app to be really helpful. Keeps all of my stats and $ saved right there on the home screen of my phone so I can see it every day and remind myself and stay motivated of why I quit.

Tried Chantax(and gum, and patches, and lozenges, and cold turkey) too, as well as a few of my friends. It worked for some, not really for me. It dramatically reduced my smoking, but it made me feel really weird. But I feel that it helped much more than the other techniques.

And then I found vaping.. *~!(Angels Singing)!~* :D

Welcome Ameera, pretty horse BTW.. You are going to have plenty of questions, and the people here are willing to give you plenty of answers. Your new journey begins today and you will never go back. It's a really fun hobby that makes you feel better about yourself and get a bit healthier. Your check book may take a beating for a while. but in time you will see the positives far out weigh the negatives of smoking.

Just a quick update...

I have an I QUIT BANNER!!!! I DID IT!!!!! Strange as it may be.. but everyone here was right. Vaping took off and smoking ceased. I bought my set up and haven't had a smoke since! :vapor: AND I am loving it!! Vaping some super awesome juices made by PB Dragon, I have six of their flavors so far and couldn't be happier. I feel bad for those people who can't find a flavor that works for them.. I guess I had it pretty easy with the options my local vape shop carried. :D Anyway, a HUGE thanks to everyone here, those that responded to my thread and all those others that I read about that just really inspired me to be able to do this... and I DID!!!! YAY!

I have been MIA due to life getting busy here the past two weeks, so I am so sorry to miss your grand announcement - BUT CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I am so glad to hear that the transition went well, that you found a quality brick and mortar, and that you have already discovered some great e-juices. Sounds like the planets were perfectly aligned for you. You have been in my thoughts, your story just resonated so well with my own, that I am truly, truly happy for you. Keep up the enthusiasm, and keep up the vaping!

Thank you!! I am very proud of my achievement and as a mother of two you know as well as I do, that they were a HUGE deciding factor.. and when the transition was made, it was just done. Easy. I have talked to soooo many people since I switched to vaping! I know there is a massive revolution going on here and Big Tobacco really doesn't know what is going to hit them in the next 6 months to a year, their sales will be SERIOUSLY faltering. HAHAHHAHAHAAA!!! Serves them right.

I have to say that without ECF I wouldn't have thought it to be so easy, everyone and everything here is soooo helpful and supportive. THANKS AGAIN!!!

I cant wait to have enough posts to get my banner up. I have been analog free for 3 days now. This is the longest i have been with out one since i was 12. I cant believe it. The more days i go without the prouder i become of myself and the more i want to scream from a roof top that i finally did it. I am driving eveyone crazy with my love of vaping. It is all i seem to talk about now. Congrats to all of us for winning this battle.

CONGRATS!!! It is quite the exhilarating experience isn't it?!!! I know what you mean about being vape crazy.. when I go in out local B&M I just feel like getting in touch with all the customers there.. and sharing experiences.. lol!! Probably more of a pain in the .... than anything, but damn it.. it is just so GREAT!! :) Yeah.. I agree with the above post.. vape hard, and vape often..

Oh.. and tell me where and when.. I will join you on any roof top anytime.. 'cuz VAPING KICKS ASH!!!! My little girls notice the smell of smoke on people when we are out and about, and they tell me I should share my vaping experience with everyone that smells like stinkies. ROFL!! They are just as huge promoters for vaping as I am.
