I joined because I remembered how hard it was for me on limited income to get started, I spent months lurking ECF for info and it was overwhelming, where to buy this, what hardware and juice should i try etc etc etc. I finally bought a 901 and then spent hundreds of dollars failing and succeeding.

The real reason everyone is here is because they QUIT SMOKING using these wonderful devices, a lot of people quit vaping because they just don't have the resources or the know how to continue with this life saving device,

In a way I feel that this group is also saving lives, I feel that by contributing and helping people stay of analogs we are actually benefiting the health and life expectancy for a lot of people.

Hmmm, had to think about this one...

My life is governed by the following three concepts, for the most part:

[1] Everything in life happens for a reason. I may never know the reason, I may not like the reason, but there's always a reason.
[2] Always go with my "gut feeling". The gut feeling's always right, and the moment I disobey my gut feeling's the moment I screwed up.
[3] What goes around, comes around...I truly believe in the whole "karma" concept, that taking care of others is essential in this life, even if they're not taking care of me in return. While I'm not perfect in any way, I want to be able to reflect on life and think that I've been able to contribute more positives to others' existence than negatives.

With the vaping thing, I've learned so much in the last month-and-something. Our numbers are few in comparison to the rest of the smoking populous, and even fewer in comparison to the world as a whole. That said, I feel like we have to "have each other's backs" in a way.
Let's face it: in this economy, not many of us have the available funds that would allow us to keep on experimenting with hardware and software until we find what works best for us, and I feel that the PIF group is a novel way that we can all help one another out in pretty much every facet of the vaping lifestyle.
Finally, it's the people here that really make the difference. In the short time I've been on the ECF, I've honestly lost count of the number of times that someone on here's been in a jam/wants to save a life, and almost every single one of these instances have been met with honest, heartfelt action. That's something I want to be apart of.
I'm not the "king of the volunteers" by any means, but I'm always the first guy you'll see stopping on the side of the road to make sure a downed motorist is alright. Why? Because I've been in those shoes before, and it sucks. Half the time, the situation's beyond the control of that one person, and all it takes to restore harmony is for someone take themselves out of the equation for a few seconds and step up. I think the same concept applies here: collectively, we're not the type of people to drive right by one of our own and leave them stranded...and being a part of a group with that kind of mentality is a wonderful thing. :)

I joined because of all the reasons you have all mentioned & boy the hearts of these people are so awesome, just reading thru all the things done to help someone in need is so rare in this world, makes you feel wanted, befriended, and that there really are honest people among us that are true hero's...this group is one of the veins that keeps ECF together IMO!

When I started reading post on PIF I was amazed that there are still so many people in this world that will give and not expect anything in return, people who will give with no questions asked, people who will give just because they want to. Thats why I joined PIF.
It is amazing....
It's good to see sooo many people with warm hearts such as these guys here!
This is what..... it is all about!!
Thank You for giving... from your heart!!

I came here because I had a lot of juice i couldn't use and don't have much money, I didn't want to waste the juice so i came here to swap. I am amazed by the selfless giving that goes on here and am truly amazed that there are still good people in this world. So now when I can I'm gonna PIF. I hope I can help someone. Even if it's just one person.

Im not sure how or when but I was invited by Jules. Loved it from day one but what really got me was the "trust" thread for Micks boy. It made me feel so good to take part in that. Watered me up,honest. And I didnt even have it,but ya know what,I would do it a thousand times over. Because I ALWAYS had money for "Death Sticks" so why not continue to pay that which I would be burnin anyway. And now I get to help a stranger almost DAILY.

I saw a link on whataclumsygirls' post and wondered what it was all about....cruised over and lurked.....I have helped others on another thread when needs arose and it felt good to help out. My first post here was in NBC donations and I am looking forward to see who gets the goodies and feedback. I have not done the pif thread as I am unsure and still lurking...seems like a family here and I want to be a part...just feel like the newly adopted at the moment...LOL...I know very few and very few know me.
This thread epitomizes the overused and underdone WWJD acronym. You all walk the walk instead of talking the talk and that is awesome.

I totally agree with Neph
When I bought my 1st e-cig, I stumbled on to ECF, but could not get much feedback and the information was staggaring. I was so confused and overwhelmed.
I joined bacause I finally found a place where everyone was treated like a friend. Post a question anywhere in PIF and someone responds or PMs instantly.
Needs, wants, offers, sales, smiles, laughs, sharing, caring....everything wrapped up in one place.

When I was just a noob (all of 2 1/2 weeks ago lol) I was asking how much juice people were using because all I had coming in my first kit was 10ml and no money to buy more for a week and a half. Without me even asking a super nice member of this group pmed me and sent me an additional 10ml.
Now I'm all about "The Chain of Love" (the song and the idea). He told me about this group so here I am, now that I have something to offer.

I actually didn't come to PIF to receive anything or give anything because I didn't have anything but one bottle of juice that I was sharing with my hubby and each of us had one dse901. I ended up at this group because while researching the site for e-cig info, I saw a family of people who looked to be so sweet, caring and friendly, that when I got through my first 15 posts and could post in other places, I immediately wanted to befriend all of the sweet people here. In fact, I didn't even look at the PIF thread before I joined, I just saw the posts and all the love and support it seemed everyone had for each other and wanted to be a part of it.
I am so happy to have made many great friends from the PIF group!!

I was invited to join the group and having done a few PIF's on the old thread, I already knew how great the people involved were and didn't hesitate to join. :) This is a fantastic group of good hearted people and I'm thrilled to be a part of it!

Your new avatar is beautiful, Bianca.

I found the PIF thread in the classifieds as a newb a couple of months ago and followed it here. Moving it was a great idea as there is so much more to PIF than just the PIF thread. This is the place where Human Kindness is Overflowing.

Like you I came here from the old thread because of the kindness of the people. It's become so much more than the original thread partly I imagine because it's a Social Forum and not in the classified section. It's drawn the best of the best!
