The tax farm known as USA.
I can go 4 hours without a vape currently, but then I vape my ... off for half-an-hour after that. Many drippers full.

perhaps go flavorless so there is less of a punishment/reward cycle going on
and maybe see a therapist about it

I have been wanting the same thing so what I have been doing is instead of making 10 different flavored juices I tend to make one big bottle of unflavored.. With the same flavor I tend not to want to vape all the time.

I see it as I smoked the same tasting cigarette for over 20 years so my vape should be the same. Really has cut down on it.

Don't let the FDA here that , they will be telling us Flavors are unnecessary and banned:shock:.
I don't want to be Vaping Air flavored, or worse - Tobacco flavored.

All good points, folks. Thanks!

As for the lack of clean air in this world, nothing I can do about that.

As for "nothing accomplished", I disagree. If I vape less frequently, then I've accomplished the goal of putting less foreign matter into my lungs. This is not about nic reduction, it's about "vape" reduction in terms of quantity.

Thanks!

Another "trick" that may help, is to drip instead of filling a tank. Drip as many drops as you wish to vape and when you notice the atty going dry, just stop instead of refilling.

I also vape unflavored, Unflavored is not tasteless, it's a very light, natural taste.

I truly prefer unflavored or very slight flavoring, I got very tired of strong flavors. What I get as a side benefit is knowing that I'm putting fewer unknowns in my lungs that way.

I'm probably going to get slammed for this, but here goes.

You've quit smoking. But have you? You have adopted a smoking cessation product that keeps you from burning tobacco.

But you are still holding a device in your hand and filling your lungs.

So you've only come halfway. Truly quitting is to put every thing down and not inhale anything except air. So you now have to consider how you quit vaping.

This is a huge reason why nicotine replacement therapies fail. People can't cope without the gum and patch they used to stop smoking.

I support your views 100 percent------I am now cigarette free for 18 months but am now a slave to my "Vaping"------am retired and vape all day and part of the nite.

getting winded----and must find something else to do...........

Vaping is a better alternative to smoking, but not the best.

IMO, it's still a crutch. I would like to be crutch free. To just get up and go. Not to have to stop and refill tanks, charge batteries, source juice, pack extra parts in case the device fails etc. Like my early teen years before I started smoking.

I also agree. The vape is a replacement for the smoking. I still think it's a smart move because vaping is much safer than smoking.

I also agree there is a lot of psychology involved in this. But my OP is about the physical, mechanical side of things. That's where I want the input. I'll have to deal with my addiction issues in my own mind to be completely vape-and-nic free, but that's down the road.

For now, it's all about the quantity. Please tell us all more; I don't want to shut down discussion because there may be others who benefit from more psych-talk.

ok I guess I did not explicitly ask my two questions explicitly enough:
1: I think I could answer but "for a while now" causes a blur.
If it were only 3 months then it's more complicated, but if it's more like 1 to 3 years the answer I think is to get to lower wattage vape.

2: 6NIC goes together with wattage.
My guess is you are vaping at about 20 watts, not 5, not 50
The number you need to look at is (watts x milligrams)
ok and theres another number to look at which is total milligrams per day, which is just the milligrams strength which is 6NIC x (how much millilitres)
My guess is you use about 5 to 10ml per day.

1: How long have you been vaping?

2: What wattage do you vape at?

There are a lot of us out here with the same situation that smoked for 50 years or there abouts-----25 -- 35 -- 40-- and find this vaping thing a great idea.......

but are vaping so darn much that it is starting to occur to us that we are really becoming a slave to this also..........And it's even Worse when you are retired because

all you do is study vaping and vape every minute..........I an weezing now not as bad as ciggy weezing but still weezing don't have air to run anymore.....must

cut back....................

1. Been vaping over a year, completely cig free since Jan 2015.

2. I usually vape 25 watts. I build 30ga at 8 wraps dual-coil, 2mm diameter. It's about 0.9 ohms.
