I've been using my Iatty for about a week now and between refills i looked at the coils I was wondering how you guys clean your Iatties to get them working at optimum again. I know i could just change the wires and wick, but I really would like to maximize the life of the wire and wick. This wire is very strong as well and I failed to kill it with heavy vaping. Would like some advice on how you guys do your cleaning. =)

I'm thinking dry burning, at least with the fiberglass wick, is not a good idea. Mine was ok, but having a power issue (think I found the issue, the 901 adapter seems to be the problem) but in the process I did a short dry burn to make sure the coil hadn't been damaged. Now I have a mild burnt wick taste...

Dry burn for me my friend :)

Dry burning is very bad for the fiberglass wick. You should only dry burn the ceramic wicks or if you were brave enough to try it and successful the SS mesh wick will just laugh at the hear of dry burning :)

For a fiberglass wick, soak in vodka or some other clear, strong alcohol (DO NOT USE RUBBING ALCOHOL). Remove the big chunks of gunk carefully with a pin. You can let it soak a long time if you want, it won't hurt anything.

Shake dry, refill, enjoy you freshly cleaned iAtty :).

P.s. If you don't let the alcohol dry before you fill and vape you will taste it and you will get a buzz from it.
