Just got my iAtty today, built a quick wick/coil and gave it a try... works pretty well, even though I screwed up and cut one side of the wick too short. Made a new one when I got home, works just as well. Only managing to get ~2ohms right now (reported by Provari), son decided my multi-meter looked like a fun toy so I need to buy a new one this weekend.

Only issue I've found, so far, is the flavor... it's really muted, has a bit of a plastic taste to it (thinking that might be the tip, not a huge fan of that plastic).

For background I was using a MAP tank and fairly happy with it, minus the leaking (which I haven't had with the iAtty yet). Also didn't like being stuck needing CE2, which could go away one day. I DIY, so I could make my next batch stronger... but hoping there is something else I could do to make the flavor better.

The wick tastes a bit funky for a while but settles down. I have noticed the supplied wick does seem to char really quick but there are others looking into the best material to use. Hopefully we'll have a better wick soon.

I just changed mine out and it's not charred at all....did you wet it down with ejuice before you fired it up?

OP: make sure you clean out any of those "plastic boogers" that hang around from the milling process. If one floats it's way to the coil you will definitely get a plastic taste.

The ceramic cup is from an e2 which is smaller than a standard 510 cup. I think that is why they char so quickly. A wider ceramic cup might enhance the iAtty's flavor, give the wick a little more room with a longer coil.
I have not been able to find a larger ceramic cup to use instead.

I realized yesterday that if you have a full tank and you open the cone more than half a turn, the juice will make its way into the ceramic. There is a little hole in the center of the ceramic that lead directly to the battery connection, the same hole the air comes in when you inhale.
I didn't get the o-rings either, just two small-thin ones for the ceramic which are quite loose on it, and on bigger for the mouth piece. However I only had leakage a couple of times and the loose cone was the only reason.

So how about cleaning, what has everyone been doing for that? With the MAP tank I had to dry burn it almost every tank, but so far I'm on about the 3rd tank and it's still basically good. Anyone doing anything for cleaning, or just rinse it out and put in a new coil?

BTW, when asked about R wire touching the plastic, I assume it was meant bare and not the R+NR wire.

been running the same coil for a full week!! still as good as the first day. Orig ohm was 2.5-2.7 checked today still steady at 2.7ohm. This thing takes abuse compared to china's crap atties!.
Running it on the SS GGTS with 2x 16340 AW Hi drains ~7.4v fully charged closer to 8+v.
Next coil is going to be a 1.5ohm already made just waiting for this one to give up the ghost :)
Vapor and Flavor are full on compared to my AVS/808 setup. Refills are so easy with the Iatty unscrew cap and "pour" in the juice :)

Possibly, but I think deeper/wider groves where the wire and wick/mesh go into those groves would really be better, just a bit different so a little more liquid could get the wicks/mesh more wet up towards the bridge, notice the difference in flavor when you drip a couple drops down the drip tip, also the mesh is a fantastic vape done correctly tamed down just a tad like I have mine but if those groves where milled just a little deeper/wider it would help a lot I think, so of course it would have to be a new plastic piece and cone just a bit bigger to allow the proper things to fit, just my thoughts. Be nice if we could get Imeo to make his own version of the Genesis type Atty or something similar, that would put this over the top !
