Iatty wicking problems

Guys, so I'm using my iatty, modded the ceramic to make wider slots. I'm using a doubled 3mm wick with a 1.7 ohm pre made wire. Some liquid (halo freedom juice) not sure about pg vg ratio but looks pretty thin. I am not able to have a decent vape without drying up really fast. I'm gaping at around 3.8 volts. Any suggestions other than unscrewing the cone? I don't like doing that.

ok...Im confused...why would you not want to unscrew the cone as this is the way iatty was designed to increase juice flow?
did I miss something?

You could use a longer wick, 3 inches is about right. The cone is set up to allow for adjustments.

Thanks guys for your replies. I just watched the old imeo iatty videos. I did not know that he mentions unscrewing the cone and he designed it this way. I thought it was a mod technique used by some people. When i used to unscrew it it was not stable that's why i thought it wasn't designed this way. Anyway when you fully assemble the iatty it becomes stable. How do you go about not unscrewing the cone while removing the cap? does vaseline on the o-rings works fine like the way i do it on ufs?

I find it doesn't take much to get the flow going. I would start out by just openning a little. try a quarter turn and see how the flow is for you.

When you take the top cap off, take your drip tip off first or if you use the kir adapter and drip tip, unscrew the adapter first and then unscrew the top cap.

I wouldn't put vaseline on any oring that might come in contact with juice and be vaped. That's just me.

Vasoline the o-ring and make sure to take the mouthpiece off before you unscrew the cap. If you still find it comes loose use your finger to hold the cone while unscrewing the cap.

I really wouldn't advise using Vaseline - petroleum jelly - on the orings that the juice may touch and then you vape...In my opinion, better to lube orings with food grade oring lube or VG.

Yeah just use a bit of juice or plain VG on the oring. It will work just as well and you will get no funky taste or safety hazards.

Thanks Bish. I appreciate what you do to the GG Family. Real dedication. Actually I am waiting to vape all the juice in the iAtty so I can give it another shot. I will stick to single coils on it until I master the liquid flow. Of course in the meantime i will watch you triple highlander video. By the way yesterday was my first attempt at a dual highlander in my Ody. Out of this world!

I will work on it tonight. I will try fitting 2x 3mm wicks in the cup with the top wick long enough to sit on the plastic and storing juice.

Hello aalwani ,

Here is the video showing Imeo adjusting the IAttys cone ! It's a short video , under 2mins. long. It seems to be the juice control.
I hope this helps and reassures you to use the cone for adjustment.

I love you guys man. Its always fun to be and vape with great people like yourselves. Do to long distance maybe one day we can do a Web Cam meet for like an hour or so so we can socialize and vape our asses off. Which reminds me vapetv will be hosting a live Marathon starting this Friday. there will be give away and its a celebration we having. Ill see if BSP can give more specifics.
