thats true captain. World is full of fake GGs right now. Italians, Germans, USA, Poland, Russia... They all made direct copies of GG series. All my products like Iatty, Ody, UFS, GGTS, GGTB are copied hard. VIR is difficult to be copied either but the patent will stop China to copy it.

axaxaxa, sure mrgood. I was wondering the other day about TW. A nice company with some serious amount of customers did something like this? I feel so bad for them. Copying and stealing designs ορ brand names is the only way to live your life? I am really wondering how these people will stay in business

imeo, chancers fools and idiots spring to mind,tw are the chancers, fools and idiots buy their products.

The worse thing is when people that do things like this are from your own country card. Greece is not an exeption of course. Almost all mods are exactly like GG. Buttons are mine, caps are mine, even the axis on the front button is mine. Some people copied even the 4 cuts of the stealth's cap

Now that I'm absolutely into the rebuildables, I understand how stupid I was to sold and trade my 2 never used iAttys due to be lazy on that time (trade a new iAtty + 50€ for my current UFS v1 and sold the other one for the same price as I bought).

Copies are just copies, the feeling will never be the same as the original (reminds me my replica of Zippo 1942 eheh).

I'm not sure if he has customers, but as long as the iAtty1 is hard to get, people will find an alternate to these. I guess you can say, the next best thing to the original is the replica.

Any plans to make more of these Imeo, so people do not have to make copies?

The iAtty is like gold, because they are so hard to find.

Have you considered allowing people to make out of production lines for which there is still a hefty demand under licence?

If people are basically profiting from your labour, you may as well cut out a big chunk of their illicit action for yourself...

I have already enough work sparky and checking who is capable to do that in the right way and also checking the quality of GG that are produced in other countries or checking the quantities that are sold is not something that I can do right now. I am not exactly a businessman but I am more like a hobbist that wants to create always new things. This is my main concern for now. Maybe when VIR comes in the market and sells like crazy I will have the time to think more about your proposition

How does one distinguish between an original and a copy when buying from an individual? I don't plan on purchasing a used GG ( not just yet anyway). But if I were looking in the classys for say a GGTS or any GG product for that matter, what advice would you give me to avoid unknowingly purchasing a copy?
And I have to agree with many here...Imeo, if you were able to more closely match production with demand, there would be no market for copies. You obviously have volume production limitations though as I'm sure you would produce more if you could.

i think the limited production is great as it keeps the demand high, its like rare collect able guitars everyone who has a copy try to convince themself that its as good if not better than the original but always yearn for an original
the original will always command the higher price and always be more sought after ,copies will just be copies

sure card, you are right. And what you said about some people that try to convince others that copies work better than the original is silly. A guy that made an Odysseus copy said that it works better because he made a knurled small cap (the one on top of refilling cap)

here's an idea for you imeo, why dont you make an atti like the ody with the air control built in as it would be good for people who dont have a ggts, maybe a ceramic that could take 2 coils would be good too also small limited runs of ggts/ody s with some nice engravings with an extra high price tag,prs guitars do this kind of thing with their private stock guitars for the serious collector ,include a certificate of authenticity would also be a good idea,
some days my small brain thinks out loud lol

thanks a lot for the ideas my good friend card.:)
I have already thought of the double ceramic and I could do it on Ody but I prefered to keep it in small size.
I already thought of air control on the Ody but it will be useless for GGTS users and it would be big without a reason. Designs with air control are sitting on my P/C lol. As for the people that use other mods, I can do it but later. I have to take care my people first.
I have thought of limited runs too but I have no time to do this. Maybe later when I will not have so much pressure:)

Thanks again buddy
