Ok...
Should have been a little clearer. My understanding is that the contact post that is insulated from the adapter housing via a rubber bushing does move up/down-- which is probably what is keeping me from shoving the center post of my atty into itself.

& being as the adapter is newly threaded, it may need a little working before an atty fully seats or seats better-- & of course I assume we all know how to thread things correctly... & we should all know better than to void a warranty.

I use the noalox sparingly on the tube threads only--NOT on my battery contacts (by the way I use 2 flat washers & 1 lock washer under my switch post).
Minimal throw, No jiggle, 100% firing.

Should try noalox on the contact screw also. It works wonders...

I don't think the center post on the adapter is movable. It is delrin and is a hard plastic in the adapter and the atty has a rubber insulator that will give up much quicker than that adapter. You can move that insulator in the adapter by hitting it with a hammer but doubt you will move it with an atty.

Yes, a little working can sometimes be needed, but one must be careful that this doesn't entail screwing the atty all the way down to past where it is supposed to sit.
I get contacted nearly every day by customers who have overtightened their atomisers to the point when they stop working or cause shorts.

I actually thought the adapters were machined so that a typical joye510 atty WOULD NOT seat flush w/ the adapter-- this is not the case, you can actually pop out the center post/Delrin sleeve & cut off the air to the atty by over-tightening... but on several other 510 adapters, it won't seat-- close, but it won't seat.

Hey Lisa,

What I do, is keep some dead attys in my vaping tool box. When I get an adapter with tight threads I can work a dead atty in and out, to loosen up the adapter threads. Better than risking a good atty.
