So I have a couple posts about my 1.8ohm i06 I've been using for a few days. Hopefully some of you experienced users can help me. I have been using it with the i06 sleeve(which doesn't sit straight on the atty so its kinda crooked, which drives me crazy!) and I'll drip 2 drops. Two puffs are good, then flavor fades obviously, but I vape a few more times so it doesn't flood when I re-drip. Even if I vape until it tastes gross, it still ends up leaking. If I leave it sit for a few, I come back to find juice leaking out. I am not sure what the deal is with this thing, it should be pretty much broken in by this point, put at least 5-6mL through it. Maybe I got a bad one, or maybe the crooked sleeve is leaking(actually it leaks at the threads too so probably not that). I want to rock this, but all its really doing is annoying me!
Thanks,
Dave

Oh yea, no longer using 510-510 or drip shield, I do think the sleeve is off, it sits crooked on the atty. I emailed gratefulvaper last night asking about it cuz I think the machining may be off a bit, explaining why it leaks at the bottom of the sleeve. I think it may have been my juice that was tasting funny, maybe since the i06s flavor is better I was noticing maybe a waxy taste that I didn't get from my 510 atty. I tried it with the last Lil bit of juice from the old bottle, and it does seem better. I also just put it on my old goat BF (awesome btw, wanted to try a BF and now think I gotta have a REO). It's juice from pinkspotvapors, raspberry lemonade. I never really steeped my juices, but the older stuff does taste better. When I ordered the i06, cloudsofvapor didn't have the i06 tips so I got a sleeve.
Now what do you mean about 5 drops! Like just to prime, right? Not every time you drip, that would leak all over and flood it wouldn't it? I have been dripping 2 drops each time, and now on the old goat I just give it a snort when it's getting dry.

I thought the general consensus when the i06s came out was you could put 4 or 5 drops in and get about 20 hits. The link I posted says otherwise so I'm not sure now. I know I used to be able to put 4 or 5 drops in when I dripped with minimal leakage, at least for a while, but they did start tasting burnt after a while so maybe I put too much in.

The i06 atty can be, to put it bluntly, a pain in the .... Once you get the hang of it, it's actually a good atty. but getting it to work with the sleeves made for it is a pain in the ....

Here is what we found. My wife actually stumbled on it in a different sub on this forum while chatting. This would help you immensely by allowing a true drip tip on this sleeve.

is there really a point to the mesh on these attys? IF you drip it needs to be on the coils right?the coils really do not heat up the mesh to make vapor? I have dripped and dripped on the mesh with no luck only when i drip on the coils is when it works good. This seems to be the issue with all attys is the mesh doing what they should do, really its just as good to a have it bridgeless and drip on the coils

The mesh = the main wick. De-bridging results in a leaky atty that runs in a semi/flooded state

Personally, I never tried the io6 sleeves. However, the Siam mods io6 SS drip tips works great. I also have an io6 DCA that works really great. 2 drops and I get 3 really good toots than I let it cool than rinse and repeat. I always take kinda sharp dry hits(without activating the button) to see if there's any remaining juice in between drips. Hope that makes sense and helps?
